Left Behind

In Poetry

Everyone is laughing at me
They're screaming in my face
But what have I ever done to them?
Why must they hate me so?

I tell myself to ignore them
You tell me to forget
But I can't ignore it
And I will never forget

You say that God would never
Put me through anything I couldn't handle
But when is too much?
I already can't go on

You say that God loves me
And that is all that matters
But I feel like something is missing
Something very important

Maybe he doesn't love me
Maybe I was never meant to be here
What if I was just a test?
Just another pawn in his game

There are too many people in this world
And not enough room for me
God has moved on to more important things
I am the one he left behind

Feels that way an awful lot of time doesn't it? I know this isn't a review, but I felt compelled to comment.
Keep it up. I empathize.

Do the right thing. It will gratify some people and astonish the rest.
