Get A Life

You tell me I'm an emo b****
And that next time I cut I should go deeper
Deep enough to kill myself
So I won't have to bother you anymore
But please tell me
How am I bothering you?
I don't speak to you
I don't even like to look at you
Why do you want me to die?
Is it my clothes?
Or my wrists?
Why do you hate me so much?
The only time I speak to you
Is to tell you to leave me alone
I'm not in the mood for your s***
Can't you see I'm going through enough already?
I don't need you making it all worse
So do me a favor here
Stop butting into other people's lives
And get one of your own

this is one of my favorite poems by you!
if this was published in a book i'm sure other people would view it as kind of an inspirational poem. maybe not the beginning but the end is kind of standing up for yourself in a situation most people would break down and cry from being in. it is truly an awesome poem, especially this part:
"Can't you see I'm going through enough already?
I don't need you making it all worse
So do me a favor here
Stop butting into other people's lives
And get one of your own"
i love how you address the enemy with such a demanding tone!
Keep up all the great work!!!

Hello there Fallen Angel! :)
Wow. The simple, raw emotion behind this poem blows me away. I've read bits and pieces of your work before, but never commented on them (sorry!). But here I am now, and I've got so much respect for you. To write exactly what you want to say, warts and all, is admirable. I often end up toning down my own poems because I'm afraid of how people will react to them. You don't seem to do that. Your poems, though maybe not perfect, have an strong voice that cannot be subdued.
Never stop writing!
Sarah

Thank you :) And I don't hold back. When I write, it's the one time I can let everything loose and not have to worry about what everyone else thinks. It's MY work, not theirs. They shouldn't have to tell me how to write it. A lot of people hate my poetry at school. They say I'm nothing but a hypocrit. But who is the hypocrit really? Me, for expressing my views on the world, or them for having the nerve to bully me about it? When I write, it comes straight from my heart. If I'm upset or depressed, I write about it. It just kind of helps relieve the stress.
