Saviour

In Poetry

The full moon shines brightly overhead
Surrounded by stars in all of their beauty
But under that beauty there is a small child
Lost, his soul is, looking for a way out
People walk by without even noticing
The starving child begging for something to eat
His parents have abandoned him at such a young age
Leaving him alone to fend for himself
He sleeps in alleyways and looks up at the stars
He's praying for someone to rescue him
But still the people walk on
Having more important things on their mind
But one cold and snowy morning
A man finally sees the child
Shivering violently, his teeth chattering
And offers the child his coat
He says, "Come with me, my child, and you shall no longer be alone"
The child smiles up at him, his heart filling with joy
His prayers have been answered
He will no longer sleep in alleys
For his Saviour has finally come

awesome poem,
this poem is really cool. i love it especially this part:
"But one cold and snowy morning
A man finally sees the child
Shivering violently, his teeth chattering
And offers the child his coat
He says, "Come with me, my child, and you shall no longer be alone"
The child smiles up at him, his heart filling with joy
His prayers have been answered
He will no longer sleep in alleys
For his Saviour has finally come"\
i love it :)
