She walks home from school, fingers crossed
Praying they aren't home
She's had enough torture for one day
And the last thing she needs is more
She pushes the door open as slow as she can
But still the hinges squeak
She stands as still as a statue
When she sees the shadow across the hall
She tries to make a run for it
But she is just too slow
She is grabbed violently by the wrist
And flung against the wall
She cries in pain
But she is shown no mercy
The blows still keep coming
Despite her begging and pleading
Words of hate are spit at her
Hurting worse than the merciless beating
She stops trying to fight back
When she hears the words I hate you
The fight lasted only minutes
But to her it felt an eternity
She falls to her knees, letting out one last scream
As her vision grows blurry and she can no longer breathe
She lies there motionless
But still her mother doesn't stop
The pain slowly fades to nothing
And her entire body goes numb
She died today by the hands of her mother
Because no one cared to help
Every time she tried to tell someone
She was only ignored
