Grateful
Always be grateful
For every single day,
Because you will never know
When you will be taken away.

Alpaca
We held a staring contest
Before it tried to spit in my face.
Gave a carrot to calm him
And he responded with gentle grace.
***
Leaves
Crisp, delicate, light
Crumbles in your hand
Comes only at fall
With colors so grand.
***
Poems
Short or long, poems are
Such a wonderful way
To show love to others
And surely make their day.
***
For You
I have a small gift for you
That’s more of a reminder.
God loves you, despite it all,
And wants to know you better.

P.S. do you see my hidden note for you? :)

This is so cute! I love the simplicity of this, yet it still reveals a beautiful, thought-provoking message- very refreshing, and this genuinely helps me to realise how my writing could be improved
Thank you for your review! I really appreciate it! Honored to be a source of inspiration
Hiya! This is Orabella, here with a short review.
Is the answer, "Grateful alpaca leaves poems for you"?
First of all: Hidden note??! How come I can't find it? What is it?
Second! I love these poems! They're so short and sweet, and they all brought a smile to my face.
Okay, edit. As I was reviewing this, my sister came in and I read the poems to her. She said they were, "Absolutely fantastic!" But I told her to look for the hidden note, and guess what she found in ten seconds flat?
Spoiler
I love the lines,
This is just so silly! I love it! ^^ I just imagine you (or who I imagine you to look like) staring at an alpaca. I see the fence in between you and the alpaca, and the farm (I think that's where you find them...) you're in.
I think my favorite poem is For You. It's just so sweet, and it's such a good message.
Anyways, I wish I could write more, but my sister is literally breathing on my shoulder, so we'll leave this at that.
Like always, I love your poems. Please keep writing!
Yup that's the hidden message HAHAHHA
Glad you like the poems! Say hi to your sister for me (and my alpacas)!
Hello! I hope you're having a good morning.
This was a very sweet and gentle collection of poems. They were both light hearted, but laced with deeper meaning. I enjoyed the subtle balance that you managed to strike!
I especially loved the simplicity of "Alpaca". Not only did it get a good chuckle out of me, it connected back to what I see as this anthologies center theme: of kindness for the sake of kindness, and an appreciation for the smaller things of life.
We get to see this theme unfold in each of the snip-its. "Grateful" spells it out for us- that our time on earth is limited and that we must use it wisely, "Leaves" ties back to autumn, which is commonly associated with change, or brevity. "Poems" is about small actions that make the world a little bit better, and "For You" ties this message all together.
Then of course, we have your hidden note, which summarizes this message perfectly, and was a pleasure to go back and find!
This is personal preference, but I would've enjoyed more descriptive language, like that you had in "Leaves."
You are going for simplicity, so what you have does work, but I really did like your descriptions of a more steadfast setting.
All in all, I really enjoyed reading this! It was an excellent way for me to start off my morning, and I think I'd be correct in saying that it did brighten up my day!
I noticed that almost all writers have this uncanny ability to connect things that don't even seem related. My friend, I honestly was picking random-ish topics and putting them all together, never did I think that subconsciously I would relate them all with the themes of kindness and appreciation for life. That I have to thank you for insights because it helps me see more aspects of these seemingly simple poems that I would have never thought off. So thank you!
These poems are so charming and sweet, and brought a smile to my face.
My favorite one is Alpaca.

Have you every considered making a Zine of your poems? They're super easy to make and your poetry is the perfect length for one.
Thanks for the pleasant poetry.
Ohh I just searched up what zine means
Might consider it as I'm actually planning to compile and make a book of short easy to read poems
Thank you for your encouragements too!
