Verse 1:
There is no greater love than for a man
To lay down his life for a friend
Jesus took upon the sin of us all
To save us from that terrible fall
And what a friend He is to make a way to be
With him for all eternity
And we sing,
Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
Chorus:
We are free, we are free indeed,
Nothing can beat the power of Your cross
Death's been slain, by the power of Your blood
Nothing can beat the power of Your love
Jesus
Verse 2:
You came to break all the chains
That kept man stuck in their terrible ways
You came to set the captives free
From the sin that held them so tightly
With the power of Your voice,
And the rising of Your son
You have won
And we sing,
Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
(end with Chorus 2x)

While this song is well constructed, I feel as if the concept of it can be improved. It's not a matter of this being bad work, but more along the lines of it suffering from being potentially too generic. I get the intention is the praise God, but I feel you can get more ambitious in the way that you do it. God is something that transcends the physical I world, so I feel a more complex way of describing such love. The Bible itself is something that you could pull from. The many stories and images fem it can easily stick with someone. Adding a reference to such and such to fit the theme of your poem gives it an even greater depth. Another thing to potentially go about is the subtlety of your themes. While not being subtle isn't inherently a terrible thing, I feel as your lyricism could benefit from more oblique or mysterious imagery. Tell your message through something besides literally stating it. Perhaps through a story or a serious of metaphors. Allow the listener to interpret themselves and use it as a vehicle for more artistic expression.
I absolutely agree with this review, I definitely want to get more creative with my writing. It is pretty stale and bland, thanks for the critique, it was helpful.
Amazing i love this

Nice. Kind of vanilla, though. If you've been to church, you've heard the same thing a million times. Try to be more original in the next attempt. But yeah, I guess my mom could sing along to this happily, or something.
isn't is already a song? He has the link up top right?
This is my song. That is me playing, I wrote the music if that is what you are asking.
It's beautiful to see all the people who believe in and love Jesus on this website. Great job!
Hello!

Fabulous job!
I really couldn't find anything big to correct in this.
You may need a period after tightly, but I'm not sure.
Great job on this!
Keep writing!

This is wonderful.
"You came to break all the chains
That kept man stuck in their terrible ways
You came to set the captives free
From the sin that held them so tightly"
This is my favorite part.
