I am glad you have included the sort of labeling, particularly for the slow chorus, because it does improve it methinks.
And todays recommendation is... (drumroll)
I think you should remove the "ing"s on the third and fourth lines of the second verse. Longing and hoping are ok, but workings just put me off. Just play around with it.
Apart from that, great. It wouldn't have worked as a poem, but it has a brilliant rhythm, and I read it as a song, with the single disadvantage of not knowing the tune.
The message was such a heartfelt prayer, and it is wonderful you can sing His praise so well.

This was beautiful. When I first clicked on it, I thought it would be about some sort of dreamer that wanted to be more. But then I read through the first verse and I was caught: hook, line, and sinker.
When I got to the chorus, I started to think of the song, "Dear Mr. Jesus." I'm not too sure who it's by, but it's a wonderful song.
I absolutely L-O-V-E when people express their need for Christ. It makes me feel all happy inside and I get too excited for my own good.

Great lyrics, as I read it I could feel a beat coming on. Lol. Most songs ,especially this one, express people's emotions and tell stories. They can also show people's point of views towards things. That's exactly what I thought about the lyrics. They showed me what you think and your feelings towards religion. They way you respect your belief. Though I don't know if it's just me but it was a bit repetitive in some verses- obviously not the chorus as its meant to be like that.
Overall it was good. Virtual thumbs up...
