mmmm, nice formatting of the quote, but i guess i don't understand. why use a quote you directly disagree with and ONLY say you disagree with it? there are so many more things to expand from this quote, instead of just saying "sometimes".
i came in to review this because it was most recent, so i am going to dig to find something to say, but it's my first time with a poem that's mostly a quote.
i guess then the reasoning behind using a quote is that you can repurpose it.
so why haven't you?
first of all, what i want to ask brian james is WHAT DOES A DEAD BODY FEEL LIKE?! i don't know, so i want him to tell me, or i want YOU to tell me. that would bring this all to reality, because without it, i have one point of reference, but not the other, and without that key, i can't get into the discussion / thought.
push, come on, push. there is more here. why did you stop here? recapture what thoughts when on once i pushed submit. those are what are important here, not the vague words you added to a quote. put yourself in!
Karzkin, nice attempt. What we really want in this new year? Something new, inspiring and constructive right? Sharpen your pen, squeeze your heart, dare to present it as you like it, it is your freedom. Remember, all will follow the popular never get trapped. Thanks for youe new out put, it communicates a lot and it kindles the insecure, the imaginative and the sensitive.Be different and never give rest to your pen, it is the metaphorical sword, let it shine ever, forever dear...
Hi there!
I enjoyed reading this poem. It flows very well and has great imagery. I always think of poems as a few select, important words. Without the right words, the poem doesn't work. You've found the right words and strung them together well. I really like it.
Like I said, I really like this poem. One part I especially like is how the first threeish stanzas are in quotation marks, suggesting that it's a quote, and then the last stanza is the speakers opinion of the quote. I wish I had more to critique for you, but I really can't find anything to fix besides a few small things.
Keep writing!
