Hardy is my new drinking buddy.
'Love is like a bottle of wine,
here today, gone tomorrow,
enjoyed the same;
I grow sadder, and gladder,
as it empties.'
'Love is also like cigarettes.'

I read this like a week ago and I kEEP THINKING ABOUT IT. It's really really thought-provoking.
Just thought I should let you know.
Hey its Justified here for a review
i actually really like your poem and how you compare things to other things ahh its so good
i really like this part because you compare love to a bottle of wine and i can see why you did that, i think the way you write is honestly amazing like i probably would have never come up with that
but over all i wouldn't change anything and keep up the good work
Hi inkwell! I have a weird connection to this poem, which is why I want to review it instead of just comment.
Here's my two cents:

First of all, I love the title. Remembering little bits and pieces of dreams is something we all suffer from, and my god is it annoying. Dreams say a lot about a person, and I really like what this dream exchange says about you.
I am addicted to analogies, and the first one you say is lovely. Starting off a piece with an analogy is one of my favorite things.
Not only is this analogy relatable, it also has a hint of humor. If you break down the line, we have someone drinking wine because he is sad about something, then, as he gets more drunk, he becomes gladder because, well, he is drunk! My sense of humor is rather unconventional, so I find that funny.
The vagueness of the analogy, as well as the two things being compared, allow a lot of room for interpretation, and I love that.
The ending, while appropriate, is slightly irritating because I want to hear more! I hope you decide to continue this...
I love your writing style, and I hope to see some more of your work soon.

Hey, Minty here for a review
because it seems relatable to many people (though no to me).I love analogies, and I love this one-
This line has a lot of meaning in it, because it almost tells the struggle of an addiction, the happiness of a chance to end the addiction, and the sadness of it being over. It can also stand for a lot of other things, so I really like this quote.
I feel like this poem in unfinished. The second analogy is there, but unexplained, so it makes it seem cut off. This is a good start to a new stanza. Personally, I would erase the word "also", to make it run smoother.
Overall, a very good start to a great poem. I hope you continue it
