Haha! Goodness!
This grabbed my attention as I'm an editor for our HS newspaper. What you wrote is so true, it's a bit like an implicit truth about HS, no one [i]really[i] wants to acknowledge it.You succeeded as a writer to get a message across. I very much enjoyed reading this :). However, the ending threw me off a bit: " For a lack of better conclusion" perhaps you should sub a different word instead of *better*. As a writter/reporter/jornalist you should portray your superiority (sounds conceited I know, but thats how we writers roll)in a way with words so maybe something akin to this : "For a lack of pop cultural mindtripping conclusion and" the Latin classes part was excellent though.
But I don't know, maybe it's just me and my evil editor nit picking ;)
