lost
for miles we trek
sweat's dripping
with every step we take,
heat's whipping
.
the sun blaring down
crowns slipping
we complain, drown and moan,
realisations hitting
.
See that old brown sign post?
ghost's forgetting
time, it feeds on us,
skin's rotting
.
hundred of miles we spent
hands praying
lost any scent we had,
minds straying
.
guess we are lost
frost's biting
fragile bodies hiding where
God's smiting
.

This poem conveys a lot of imagery, and I really enjoyed reading it! I like the limited number of words you used in each line to really add effect to each line - rather than writing long, describing sentences. You really used a lot of description in telling a scene of whoever becomes lost.
There is a mysterious aura to the story behind this poem, but I just want to say that I really like the writing style!
Thank you so much!

Okay, time to write a review for you.
Did I like how the poem was written? I really did. If you asked what my favorite stanza was it's probably the second one because in some way, shape, or form I can relate to this and I really don't know why or how.
I also forgot to mention that I like the second line of the last stanza cuz those two somehow to me really go well together, such as like frostbite to frostbiting. That's really clever you put that in there.
(Forgive me for saying cuz, I'm using voice right now and I think I accidentally put that word in there.)
Did I find anything confusing? Probably so. So when I got to the very last line of this beautiful Masterpiece of yours, I was kind of confused. Maybe if you would explain the line more to at least me it would make sense, or maybe I didn't read that well.
Anyway, every single word else is good. Do I have any questions? Yes, why didn't you put punctuation on the last stanza. I see not even a Period. Maybe it was probably a mistake right? Or was it just your writing style, because to me most people's writing styles are weird, which makes whatever I'm reading more interesting.
Anyway, hope this big piece of advice helped you a lot.
From your curious and weird messed up friend,

Thank you so much!
As for the last stanza, I can try to explain it. Basically whoever is narrating the poem is saying God is "smiting" them off one by one, killing them. And also, I don't know why it had no punctuation. I probably just forgot,
Thank you so much for your kind review! It means a lot
I like that the rhyme is essentially the same the whole way through. But you may also know that I dislike rhyme in general. But I’m stressed by the fact that not all the verses have two rhymes? I don’t know why it bothers me. Down and crown, post and ghosts, spent and scent, and lost and frost but. It bothers me so much that there’s no rhyme in the first one. This isn’t even constructive criticism it’s just me complaining.

Honestly, I couldn't find any rhyme for that verse and it bugged me so much too

Hi~
Not really a review, because i think this is a w e s o m e!!! Great job. Here's something that may be helpful in later poems, and maybe even this one if you'd like. Ending a line on a single syllable word is really powerful. So like maybe for example some lines you could make the "ing" into the base word. like "dripping" to "drips" and add something to that. but I really like the motion this piece has with the "ing"s
once again awesome work, i think this is great.

Thank you so much!
Really great imagery. I could picture these poor souls' pain and suffering. I particularly liked the verse where you mentioned the sign post with 'ghost's forgetting'. Spooky! Only thing I found confusing was how at the beginning they are sweating, but at the end they are freezing. However, now that I think about it, that could be imagery used to show how long these people have been lost. They've gone from being burned alive till their 'skin's rotting' to where 'frost's biting'.
So, this was a great read and left me with something to think about. Thanks and please, keep writing.
Thank you so much! It means a lot!
