I literally love this piece so much! It encompases what online learning is really like without getting confusing. I loved the structure of the lines. I think it added to the overall theme of online school because it's kinda all over the place. It was extremely relatable, and as someone who does online school, you really just summed up my troubles here. It's so easy to get distracted, and even then the distractions themselves become boring, until it's just one big cycle of boredom.
My absolute favorite part of this piece (aside from all of it) are the last three lines. It's amazing how vividly you described what it's like to be pulled from a foggy daydream and distraction into answering a question asked. I swear, it's so scary, getting called on at random, and then rushing to unmute, only to get the answer wrong :0).
One thing I was confused about (and this might just be my brain being dumb) was the line "Time bru(fl)i(es)ses by". Please explain this to me, because I know it says "Time flies by", but does it also say "Time bruises by"? If that's the case, then that's REALLY smart, describing time as something slowly rolling by, causing almost invisible pain, internal distress.
Anyways, that's all I have to say. Thank you for writing this masterpiece, because it's truly been a privilege reading it. :0)

Thank you! It means a lot (I am in a lesson right now lmao)
You are completely right about the bru(fl)i(es)ses by line! I'm glad you picked up on that.

and how the colours mention after that line, are colours of bruises!

Ohhhh, wow that's really nicely written

This is a great poem - as an A Level Student I can highly relate to this - online lessons, especially when you've done the prep, and know the content can be highly boring and even more challenging if they do (actually bother) teach you new content. It's a short poem but you've wrote this effectively and cleverly which I feel as though would be able to reach a wide audience - especially students in GCSE and A Level Years. I honestly have no improvement suggestions nor critiques - you've captured the spirit of online learning well, so well done and keep writing! :)

thank you so much! I'm an A-Level student too (year 13 oof) and i get sooo distracted in my online lectures!

This is so relatable! I, too, believe online learning is very draining and monotonous. So I actually get you. The ending was actually funny. You used the language pretty well. Although could you explain me why you used brackets? I did not get it.
My favourite line :
"That is not the answer to the question
The teacher says."

thank you!
so the brackets give a kind of different meaning to that 'stanza' since without them it says 'she wasn't gotten out of bed YET' whereas with it it says both 'YET" and 'yes, eventually, that will happen, it has too'
it's something E.E. Cummings does a lot in poetry so i don't think i've explained it very well aha. Just an interesting structure to play around with

I think this is very clever. I could relate to this piece because I also do online learning, and feel your frustration. I think relatability is important in writing, and you are spot on. I liked your style, I haven't seen that before, it's very unique. Keep up the good work!

thank you! If you liked the style, then you should check out some poems by e.e. cummings!

Heya!
Ha! This is beautifully written - I love it!
Poetry is amazing, I'm so glad I read this! It's so marvelous how you wove it all together, especially with the ticking of the clock, it makes your inner thoughts connect to the outside world with the clock, so I can be reminded that there were hints to it all along once I get to the end. I love this! Poetry isn't my strong suit, but I can tell this is a strong piece of writing!

Have a good day!

Peace,

Myre

thank you so much! It really does mean a lot <3
