YWS BIG BOOK OF RECORDS

INTRODUCTION
Back in June Liberty brought up the question is there a "YWS Book of World Records" and being someone who is also interested in YWS history, meticulous record keeping, and nostalgia it seemed like a great idea to put one together! As is the nature with these sorts of record books some of them are incomplete and there are more records that could be included! If you notice a record missing or one that needs updating comment with your source and the date and this can be updated as needed.

So I vaguely remembered my post on @veeren's wall being a Death Trap that sucked all your notifications into a black hole due to having 450+ replies, and after some digging, I finally found it!

Image

I can't find the link to the actual comment, but as of today, it's on this page here.

Funny how a comment from 2013 can accidentally become the record for the Most Replies on People Tab Post a whole seven years later. :P Good thing Veeren didn't end up deleting it!

Oh my gosh @BluesClues xD that had to be massively long - if you want to tell me the word count I could put that as longest literary work post? I added the link to the 90 chapter record though!

And @Carina & @veeren I admire your endurance in that; wow, that's a lot of comments! I've updated and left Liberty and LadyBug for honorable mention, who knows maybe they'll work their way up to that number! :D

Congratulations on your record breaking you all!

Given how long I've been around, I'm surprised I didn't hit or come close to any of these so now I'm poking around my own stats to see. I have 180 literary works, and I remembered posting some very early lyrics before the lyrics section even existed, and...bingo! The first lyrics labeled as such in YWS. Bittersweet Song-Song Lyrics (not sure what it says about me that I still remember the tune despite the complete lack of rhythm, though it is somewhat improved here: Bittersweet Song Version 2.0 )

Also, though I'm "only" 15 in all time forum posts, I have somehow maintained an average posting rate of just over 1 post per day, which is impressive considering the account is almost as old as the site itself (16 on November 28) and there are entire years I didn't post (thanks old Randomosity posts. Fun fact-There wasn't always a Randomosity forum-that got created a few months in after a lot of threads in "Writing Activities" became the sort of stuff we see in Randomosity today and Nate decided they needed a place other than The Lounge.

Also, I am apparently in an impressive amount of clubs, probably mostly old review teams lol. Seems like there could be a record for that.

I swear I was in a couple review days that met or exceeded the currently posted record, but I think I may be misremembering the June 2013 Review Day (the May one was also up there in having over 1000 reviews).

Also, I'm curious about the stats on gifts-I have sent 791 gifts, though my gift tradition far predates the gifts of today and was probably the inspiration for the gift feature. The "gifts" were essentially me spamming new members with emoticons.

Possible candidate for first SD&D topic (the intro says "something nice to warm up on", which strongly supports this hypothesis) Get rid of the penny

Ohh thanks for reminding me @Vil.

I don't think anyone can beat @ScarlettFire

The highest pad that she owns that I was in numbers at https://scarlettfire.writerfeedpad.com/423 but I'm sure that there's more than that.

I made the updates as suggested, thanks everyone!

Also @niteowl, I did a little looking around at the usual suspects, and I think Nate has given the most traditional gifts, though I believe you can claim the title for most dancing elephants / emoji gift drops given out! (Nate's given even more than @SantaYWS incredibly! :) )

Thanks for helping out! And yeah, the review day deal I spent quite a while just searching for different review days and the words "most" and "record" and those were the highest numbers I could find, but we very well may have broken the record at another time later too. It's so hard to imagine 4000+ reviews being written in one month.

I was looking through the old wall posts in the #RevMo club to find high review counts because I distinctly remember running into a month with 5000+ reviews but well I found something much crazier.

You asked for more than 500...try this one: https://kaylaa.writerfeedpad.com/800

Ahh...I'm wasting today on surfing forums...in that same quest I ran into this month which should come in second at 4,052 reviews.

Dang, almost every month back then had 3000+ reviews

Nevermind this had 4,107.

Darn it we got one with 4,612.

Found it An absolutely ridiculous 5,782.

Aaaand you will also find that I do not hold the record for the highest number of reviews in a month, that goes to 261 reviews by this person whose username changed so I can't tag him, right here.

@Cassanova...honorable mention with 242 reviews in a month. proof

most points earned in a month probably goes to me though...shameless begging...31850points in this month

@HarryHardy one of the weird things with WFP is that you can create a pad with whatever number you'd like xD

For example, even though my actual number of WFPs is 233, my pads are actually in the high 500s (https://omnom.writerfeedpad.com/549) so in order to beat the record we would need the list number that shows how many WFPs the user has :P
