Que Thank you so much! That's really kind of you. <3 I appreciate that you kept up with so much of it, it meant a lot. I'm just trying to write and revise with publishing in mind so I'm starting to keep some of my writing of YWS for that purpose but I hope that I do keep writing!

Que Thanks, I appreciate it! Sort of intentionally dropped out because I've been looking into submitting my poetry to magazines and a lot of them would count posting on YWS as publishing, also entering my last semester of college so that's going to be a lot of my focus!
So I probably won't go Rogue officially. But it's been really fun doing LMS as a Bard and thanks for putting your time and dedication into running the competition!!

Question for poetry people (and everyone)! How do you organize your writings and projects?
I'm thinking of reconfiguring my poetry folder because I've got everything sorted by year and then by month, which works great for finding NaPo every time and avoiding my really old poetry, but it's also hard to navigate and I don't even write that many poems on a monthly basis. And if I revise in a separate document, does it go in the month revised? The month written??
I don't really feel certain about grouping them in themes, either, because they all boil down to similar things. Maybe it's time to just give up on organizing the un-organizable :')
But I'd love to hear what other people do!
Including a screenshot with the anatomy of my current poetry folder for amusement:

Boy and I accidentally came up with a writing game (or party game if you have nerdy friends) last night
I asked for a bedtime story, but he couldn't come up with one, so he asked if it was okay to plagiarize. And so he proceeded to tell me the plot of what turned out to be Coraline -- I called him out on it when I figured it out because he didn't change too much about it.
We decided to make it a game to try to tell an obvious story from a movie or book that we both knew while trying to hide which one it was, in order to tell the story for as long as possible; the guesser wins if they guess it right in a short amount of time!
My favorite one to do was a modern Hamlet in which the queen was a U.S. senator who was recently divorced, and Boy did versions of Toy Story and Shrek with a lot of different and distracting names for characters and objects. It is actually weirdly challenging to listen to a story and try to figure out where you've seen that plot before!
10/10 recommend if you're looking for a chill way to pass winter break :]

hii Que, just wanted to pop in and say great job with LMS so far!! ^-^ your poems are beautiful and achingly realistic. "Accepting Autumn" reminds me of that feeling of standing in the night outside and seeing light spilling out from a cozy house, and the lively descriptions of family combined with the word "would" is just. :'} And the line "If they looked outside of themselves they could see me" from "Silent Sundays" hits hard, and the last line with "You:" is startling in the best way. Love the contrast between "Hellscape" and "Garden of Eden" too! Just ahh keep up the amazing work!! =D <3

also, my school is hosting fiction and poetry workshops this week at the exact same time. I haven't written in a hot second (other than thesis) and when I have, it's been poetry, but needing to choose a workshop has thrown me into some sort of existential writing crisis.
So, I guess we'll see if this is my moment to get back into some of my old novels...? or maybe it's time to launch into NaPo...?
In other news, I'd been watching Boy play Hollow Knight for a couple of weeks and it distracted me so much that now he's letting me play :3 And low-key this is my new favorite thing : DD
