After that, we headed to Bergen, where we stayed for a few days by exploring the city and doing some hikes around it. Then we took a couple days traveling back to Oslo, and did a few shorter hikes along the way.
If I were to go back, I'd probably skip Oslo and instead use Bergen as "base camp." I liked it a lot more, and it's easy to get to a lot of different fjords from there. I'd also try to make it to northern Norway. However, I'm also glad we drove from Oslo because it allowed us to experience a lot more of Norway's natural beauty than we otherwise would have.
