This year’s best novel as voted for by YWS is Williwaw by @Messenger which currently stands at an impressive 39 chapters. Chapter one was posted all the way back in 2018, so it’s a real labor of love!

There’s a five-way tie this year for best short story so if you’re looking for one to read you’re definitely spoilt for choice! YWS sees some incredible poetry every year, and 2024 was no different. This year’s best poem was where i end and you begin by @milkweed. If you missed this one, be sure to go back and give it a read.

Best Club:
Congratulations to the #24in24 club for winning this award! This incredible space has kept the writing spirit alive year after year with its friendly check-ins, memes and support – and it will continue in 2025. Shoutout to all the wonderful people who help run this club!
Best YWS Event:
This was a hard one because we had so many different submissions. But, in all, there is one winner! Best event goes to... Last Ship Sailing: Round III

When you’ve been on YWS for so long, one might think you run out of things to say. This is certainly not the case for @Snoink, our best people tab poster for 2024! Her vegetable garden posts alone are worth checking out.
