I’ve recently started writing a script for a short film. It’s historical fiction set in Baghdad (you can tell I’ve been playing too much Assassin’s Creed:Mirage). I’ve actually been putting off the idea for quite some time and reading some scripts to get a few ideas etc.

As for reading… As weird as this sounds… I do like reading Journal Articles (skim reading of course) that lie within Electrical/Control Engineering. It’s just interesting to learn what others have delved into great detail.

I do like me some poetry here and there but never caught onto it but I could never critique it per se. There’s tons of poems I read on this site but don’t leave a review simply because I struggle to articulate what made a poem work for me and what didn’t. Sometimes my reactions are just summarized as “aw that was cute”

As for your second question: I did a “what animal are you” quiz some years back and got a sloth… which I vehemently disagree with. I am not *that* lazy. However, I do think I’m an African Gray Parrot. They’re birds that require a strong bond with someone to let them into their space. They’re very shy (sometime hostile) towards strangers who get wayyy too close to them but they’re very friendly and affectionate from afar. Most importantly, they aren’t birds you can give mundane tasks to and expect them to be entertained. They need quite a bit of mental stimulation to exhibit healthy behavior and a very curious about their surroundings.

Also they somehow have a great sense of comedic timing even with their limited vocabulary xD

I totally get that on journal articles! I like reading abstracts from various fields if the title sounds unusual or fun xD

And ooh African Gray Parrots are such interesting animals.
