Leaving (Edited)

Wolf, Wolf, gazing high

Looking into the endless sky

Howl, Howl

At the moon

Praising the spirits up above

Death is the only price higher than love

When its time to leave, She stands

A lone Wolf in the vast lands

She walks away from Her pack

She walks away and never looks back...

*

Forging through the wind and rain

Trying to forget Her pains

Pushing on, wishing, crying

Screaming as if She were dying

Battling the fears within

Just so She can reach the end

Yet still She continues on

Hoping for tomorrows sun

*

Owls calling to the moon

Flying

To touch the sky

Little Wolf

Howling still

Waiting for the sun to rise

With soft touch and gentle heart

Watch as the light lifts the dark

Through foggy minds and clouded ears

The rays of sun begin to appear

*

And they touch the lonely Wolf

Hello! :D

This is WONDERFUL! I love it! :D I only have a couple of nitpicks... :)

She walks away from Her pack

She walks away and never looks back

I like the way you repeat "she walks away", but I think you should kind of 'trail off' on that last line. You could do this by adding some punctuation. Example:
"She walks away from Her pack
She walks away and never looks back..."
Of course that's your choice - you are the author of course! :D Just a suggestion. ;)

Other than that, I really like this! Especially that last line-
And they touch the lonely Wolf

I love how it's separated from all the rest! :D It's beautiful! Great job, and keep writing!

Stay awesome! ;)

Thanks for the excellent review! I think you are right about the punctuation, and I may go back to add it. Have a nice day! :)

Hi Felistia here with a review.

Oh my goodness, I love this poem. It is so moving and full of interesting words. I love that it is about a wolf. I really like wolves. I am not sure why you kept on capitalizing she and her while other times you don't. I really like the ending it is very satisfying. There is a lot of good descriptions in here and I am a big fan on descriptive poems, so well done and I look forward to more of your work.

Thank you so much!
