This is a very perplexing poem... in a good way.

"Overdose" is a great introduction to set the mood for the poem, and the following word "Silence" gives it an even stronger effect.

The first time I read it through, I didn't think too much about the rest of the words as it is quite abstract, which I appreciate in poetry. Then I read it again and again, and find myself continuous mulling over what "locked barrier" could possibly mean. A barrier to life, now locked because the overdose cannot be undone? If the 'silence' implies death, could the locked barrier be death as well but in a different perspective? Or could it imply the barrier that is the stigma of suicide? I like to think that it implies all these things, at least for me. And especially with abstract poetry like this, it will mean something different to each individual.

"Heart stained with emotional break". Is that the heart of the person who overdosed? Or the one who found the person? Someone who was affected by the suicide? These questions don't necessarily need concrete answers. I like the ambiguity.

I read another review and I disagree with the suggestion to remove the comma after "aftermath". I like the forceful pause there, it just feels right.

And of course, the dots. That is probably my most favorite part of the poem and it's not even a word. It's a very bold and creative move to use just dots as a line in a poem. As for its meaning, I like to assume it is the hush-hush nature of the stigma of suicide. As if it is something shameful that no one should talk about.

Overall this is an extremely thought-provoking poem that I greatly enjoyed.

Keep writing!

Hi kanome, I'm Ranay.
Just wanted to say a few things. Even though this is a short peom there's definitley potential behind it. It's very emotional and deep but has a great flow. You can tell it's dark but beautiful in its own way. When I read this I can kind of connect, and I got a feeling that it has a strong meaning behind it. But It's very good, keep up the good work. I can't wait to read more and look forward to it! :)

Hi Kanome, Amindor here.
This poem, in great terms, is deep. It has a strong feel for the reader and has a very big amount of symbolism. It's dark, but beautiful. There's no errors. I enjoyed reading it, and I can't wait to read more of yours in the future. Continue reading!!

Hello.

I liked this. Short but effective.

This made me think of death, especially the silence bit.
And then the effect it has on others who observe it, and are left to face the aftermath.
The vibe running through this was very powerful.

I'd suggest you to remove the punctuation from it. The one comma and the full stop (period).
I don't know why but I think it would work better that way.

Good work.

Poem rating: 7.5/10

Mmm. Ambiguous. I like it.

Overdose

Self explanatory, perhaps, or an overdose of a relationship. Becoming too attached, or involved.

Silence

Death? Or the falling out of a relationship.

Locked barrier

Limitation. Boom. Inability to see outside yourself?

Heart stained with emotional break.

Yeah, I feel that.

Aftermath,

.....

Then it starts all over again, an endless cycle of failures that only add on to your emotional burdens. What doesn't kill you doesn't make you stronger. Just ask any amputee.

And on the pedestal these words appear:/'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings;/Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'/Nothing beside remains.
— Percy Bysshe Shelley
