There is an empty chair in front
of mine,
That was once occupied by you.
Sitting in front of this empty
chair,
I’ll tell you a thing or two.
Remember the days of being held
tight,
Remember the days of sunshine and
light.
Remember the days when the pain
went away,
Remember the days when ghosts
couldn’t play.
People tell me I’m crazy,
For talking to an empty chair.
But the moon is full and the
night is dark,
The loneliness is too much to
bear.
Remember the days of sweet stolen
kisses,
Remember the days of close falls
and the misses.
Remember the days when I wasn’t
strong,
Remember the days when we got
along.
When I sleep between cold, empty
sheets,
I will pretend you are here
beside me.
The bed suddenly won’t seem so big,
The light of morn’ I soon shall
see.
Remember the days of that cheesy
love song,
Remember the days of dreams all
night long.
Remember the days when laughter
rang loud,
Remember the days when we refused
to be cowed.
So in the early light of a dawn broke
morn’
I sit and talk to that empty
chair.
Telling it all my secrets, my
wishes and dreams,
In hopes that one day you will be
there.

I really enjoyed reading your poem! It flows very well, due partly to both your repetition (which works very well) and the way you were conscious of sticking to your rhyming scheme. I also really liked how the first, third, fifth, and seventh stanzas discussed the present, which is clearly not the best situation, while the repetitive second, fourth, and sixth stanzas discuss a past filled with joy. Speaking of which and if I'm to be completely honest (which I try to be), I initially grimaced at the sight of so much repetition. However, for reasons I previously mentioned, that grimace turned on itself when I actually read your work. Congratulations on a great piece!
Really good poem. I really like it. You have a great rhyming scheme, except for one place.
Because of the longer lines, the rhyming scheme is a little off. I suggest you change words to make them synonyms. But that is just a suggestion.
I may sound harsh, but honestly I'm just trying to help. So please don't take it personally.
You have a really good poem here.
Another thing, I think the longer lines make it harder to rhyme. So, it's okay to rhyme, but here's a tip. Try to make the lines a little shorter. Don't worry I am terrible at making things rhyme, but another thing you have to remember when writing a poem is that... You don't need to rhyme, even though some people think that. I'm not saying you don't know that, I'm just trying to help and give you tips.
I just want you to make your writing better. I need to improve and so does everyone. We are all just learning here, so there is no judging on this site. (Even though some do... I'm not one of them).
The point is, I really liked your poem.
Keep up the great writing!

Hello!
Now, for the review!
I'm here, because, hey! Even a near-perfect poem can get better!
I think the longer the lines become, the less the rhyme is shown. Before in the poem, you have such a strong clear rhyme, that even though these lines do, it just seems "less", if you know what I mean. (If you don't, you can PM me and I'll try to explain it better
...and that's all!

Stay awesome!
Wow, just beautiful! Pure beauty.
I love this poem.
The feeling is very realistic.
It reverberates with my heart.
I can feel the feelings.
The loss of a good friend, a best friend.
This poem paints the picture very well.
You are an artist of words my friend.
Keep writing. I shall follow you.
You've captured my soul and enraptured my whole.
Really, this is the sort of critique coming out of me.
It's just that beautiful.
The pacing is so rhythmic, so natural.
Seamlessly flowing in like a wave of fluid of nostalgia.
The punctuation promotes the passion
Of the long, lost and loved.
Purely amazing.
I'm spellbound.
Awwwwwww, thanks!
