I love the Buddha,
He's who I want to be.
Like the time he sat beneath the bodhi,
to set his essence free.
I love the Buddha,
He seems to know all.
When he wrote his four noble truths,
laid out why men fall.
I love the Buddha,
He's always so calm.
In deep contemplation with folded legs,
a wheel on his palm.
I love the Buddha,
He's every one's friend.
He does not teach of other's failings,
he has patience to spend.
I love the Buddha,
He is enlightened.
To him death is the ultimate release,
so don't be frightened.
I love the Buddha.
...He's who I'd like to be.

I really, really, really thought this poem was okay.
It needs a lot, lot, lot more meaning to it though. And the repetition was very, very, very annoying.
See what I mean?
But seriously, the poem didn't really catch my attention. I already forgot about it. Also, your ending was very anti climatic.
But I do however like the idea. So keep that up, please!
I know what you're thinking: Why is this girl always critiquing my poems? Well, it's because you always manage to have catchy titles (to me, anyway
My first impression is that this poem doesnt really speak to me but it is very well put together and runs through perfectly. I like it keep it up
