The Taste of Mirrors

I thought once

that it is a damned shame,

how so many lonely people exist

when there are so many lonely people

aching to stop being lonely.

But it made sense eventually.

See,

insane people don't seek the company

of other insane people.

They want the sane ones to love them.

The crazy ones are crazy.

What do they know?

Lonely people don't want to be happy

with other lonely people.

They want people who don't need them

to want them

so they'll know they're worth something.

They don't want to make love

to people like themselves.

No one likes the taste of mirrors.

Wow! I must say I really loved this poem! I don't really understand what specifically about it, but I do know that I really loved the last line! It was a truly beautiful line and it just really did a great job summarized the whole poem, and it really made me think about the poem when I finished it.

The poem seemed to go fast and was almost, like, busy, but I worked really well.

Wow I just cant really describe what I loved so much about the poem, but it was really great so good job!!

Hi creativityrules, here is Dark to give review on your poem!

I like how you submit your opinions and feelings in poetry, which leads to a common theme but was reworked into a new one. There are few people who do not like themselves and eventually try to change themselves,or at least try to get the attention of others.

# insane people don't seek the company

of other insane people.

They want the sane ones to love them. -->I also felt an awkwardness about this fact, but we are not clear with what is insane people actually wanted here. However, I like your honest opinions in your poem itself, that is no one like what the mirror reflect on us.

#(No one likes the taste of mirrors. )-->I absolutely love the end.It is something that really make sense to me.Keep it up ,good job here.
Kudos,cheers

This is a very nice poem. I really like the way you made it flow. The only complaint I have is that I don't think you broke up the sentences very well, but other than that it was pretty easy to follow.

I especially liked the metaphor. Indeed, other people like yourself are much like reflections.
I really enjoyed reading this, and I hope you make more like it.

Okay, name and description drew me in. The actual poem, that was what kept me reading. Love it!! (imagine me singing that, prob off key) So reviewing time (I'm singing that too).

What I liked:

1. The idea. Well thought out and well brought out! Your idea that we don't want to be with people just like us, well its pretty true. I love how you used mirrors as a synonym (sorry it is late and I'm not the best speller).

2. The words you went with. Like mirrors there are certain lines, and certain words that hold so much meaning and you can tell were chosen for a reason.

What I didn't like:

1. The lines about people wanting people who don't need them. It was too confusing, I'm still a little lost. I got the idea but it didn't make sense. Feel free to explain in a comment or you can change the actual lines to something you feel will make more sense to the reader.

Overall:
Great piece. Love Love Love Love Love Love and Loved it. Great job keep writing.
