Sick

In Journey through time and thoughts

Sharp knives,
Pierce sore muscles;
A wave of heat
Strangles me.

My head pulsates.
Shocks pass right through it.
Laying down I endure
Silently.

The teacher’s voice
Calls my name.
Sorry ma'am, I just
Can’t respond...

I hope you get well soon.
First off, this poem is totally relatable, you captured the feeling of being sick perfectly, especially if you are in school. When you are sick, it's so hard to focus on anything else. You just hurt all over, and you just want it to go away. You feel miserable, and you just want it to be over and go away, something everyone has probably felt like before in one way or another. You whole poem captures this.

Especially these lines.
"The teacher’s voice
Calls my name.
Sorry teacher, I just
Can’t respond..."

Hope you get well soon, great job on the poem! Can't wait ot read what you write next.

Carpe diem,

Aw, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Hopefully this review might make you feel better.
You perfectly encapsulate what it really, really means to be sick, especially in school.
This stanza captures it perfectly:
"The teacher’s voice
Calls my name.
Sorry teacher, I just
Can’t respond..."

That is completely relatable. When sick, you can't really focus on anything but being sick; you're in complete misery body-wise, and school is just not where you needed to be in that moment, obviously. I'm glad you had the strength to write this piece, and do yourself a favor once school's over; go home, eat some hot soup and watch YouTube.

Anyways, this was a nice piece to review.

Again, get well soon!
