Free to roam
I am no longer
hung up by these chains
now that I have gotten
to the place I desired
I will never go back
__________
Note: I wanted to try writing a palindrome poem like Birkhoff did in this work. He did an awesome job at explaining what a palindrome poem is, so if you don't know what it is, take a peek at his poem.

You always be my favorite poetess!
Hey Tiny here,

Well, that was fantastic. I am utterly horrible at palindrome and this really impressed me. A+ for you fortis. thank you for the beautiful palindrome that I am very jealous of.
Keep writing
Very nice job on the palindrome poem! I didn't realize it was a palindrome until after the poem you said it was, and then it shocked me that I could read it the other way. I am not incredibly familiar with palindrome poems, or even if you would want to take this advice, but I am a big advocate for the correct punctuation in poems...now with palindrome's I'm not really sure if correct punctuation can really apply...but it would work both ways forwards and backwards if you put a period after the "hung up by these chains" line.
I'm not sure if that would work, honestly, with a palindrome poem or if you would even want to put that period in there...but just as a suggestion! Great job on the poem!
Good job!
Great job on this palindrome. It was short but very effective and to the point. You really did a great job because when I read it both ways it had two different meanings. I like the poem and the meaning behind it so overall great job.
I thibk if you added a little more it could be even better. Whatever the case I liked this alot. Write more palindromes!
Palindrome. <3 My one true love.
This is really cool! It flows well both ways. I like that it's short, because that kind of gives it a sense of contentment going down, and a sort of weary acceptance coming back up. If you elaborate and extend it, that kind of takes away from the simple truth of the message.
One thing I caught, if you're 'free to roam', then why would you decide to 'never go back'? It's not really relevant, though, and I doubt anyone else noticed, so you can just ignore this.
Two things you might want to consider, if the title is also reversible to reflect the two different meanings of the poem, that makes it a little more interesting. Also, I would have reversed the poem so it ends on a happy note, because everyone loves happy-note endings.
Overall, this is a really awesome poem! I love it!
I love this! I thought this poem flowed well both ways when I read it
The first poems tells of freedom and joy. Yet, when reversed, it's saddening. Good job, however, and I think that you did good. Maybe it should be a little longer, than it could rival Birkhoff's. Don't get me wrong, because it's good, but if you made it longer, and gave a few more stanzas, it could even be better than Birkhoff's. Nonetheless, you did a great job given the length and points made in it. Good job, and keep working!
I really like this, how forwards has a totally different meaning than backwards. I feel like this could be a lot stronger if you somehow managed to add another stanza about the narrators journey of how to they got to the place they are at and still kept the meaning totally backwards depending on which way you read it. It's just an idea though, still a great poem.
Hey!
This is really good.
I read Birkhoff's poem yesterday and felt inspired to write a palindrome poem too. Unfortunately my inspiration didn't produce anything of note, unlike yours.
You have written a really good poem, it is short but still really engaging and good.
I'm never really sure how to review these sorts of poem, because they are always so good and interesting, and if I suggest a change it has to be to both poems.
So, I am simply going to say that you have done a really good job, with the cheerful poem leaving the reader really happy, until the read it in reverse and realise that it is sad.
Great job and keep writing.
Nargles xx
I really enjoyed the feel to this, to me it's something of mystery I guess, leaves me thinking. Good work.
Wow, I really liked this one. In Birkhoff's poem the backwards version was the cheerful one. Not so with yours, but I like it. Both forwards and backwards it is very clear. Well done!
