I am a mirror
and I reflect everything,
Maybe a bit distorted,
hopefully brighter,
but I am cracked.
When someone laughs, I laugh,
but sometimes I only smile.
That's the distortion.
When someone cries, I cry,
and sometimes try to comfort them.
That's the brightness.
But when someone mocks or scorns me,
I do not mirror them:
They have hit the cracked part
and they fracture me more.

It's amazing how you have written something that makes people to pat on your back. really *claps*
punctuations are good, good format, nice thinking.

This poem has really really spoken to me and I hope whoever else reads it will feel the same. Even though many of us are cracked mirrors , there's still areas of us that can appear whole, but when they reach the broken piece there is no way to fix it. I will definitely read more. Thank you.
I love how this portrays everyday life. It reminds me how I feel when I see mirrors. I like how you said that it " may be a bit distorted". This also has great rhythm, and it definitely makes me want tor read more
.
Thank you!
Hi fortis, you use the mirror as inspiration in your poem this time. It's a good choice and you can use different ways to talk about the mirror. Say about what it can do, including consider yourself like a mirror. Honestly, I was expecting something interesting from your poem.
Here the conclusion easily understood, of course, a mirror reflects everything. But what is actually conveyed by the diction 'distorted' here?
So you give the sense here. Distortion are given different meaning here by you. So is it like to pretend to laugh with someone even though you are actually sad (and you simply smile)?
I really like this part. It is like you refuses to mix / to be like them and treat them as people who bring fractures at you. It also became the most convincing and powerful part in your poem. I see you already have a good idea here. But I am not really sure with the first part of the poem. Anyway, you have a good poem to read. Keep writing!
Kudos,cheers.
Thanks for your review! You interpreted this well
A casual thought put in a neat manner. Was definitely simple and easy to follow. Personal opinion, You could have either made it a little bit funnier or little bit dark. But overall a great effort, cheers!

Wow! This is awesome! There were a few parts that I didn't understand such as, "That's the distortion." Mainly, I don't understand this because I'm not sure how a mirror could be distorted and I'm not sure what it may be implying. Everything else was absolutely amazing. The rhythm was perfect, and the meaning portrayed in a very insightful way. Well done.
Have you ever seen a funhouse mirror? Those things are pretty distorted. It is implying that I don't always mirror perfectly, but at least I usually mimic the general feeling, just like how a funhouse mirror mimics all the colors of a mirror perfectly, it just messes with the shapes. Thanks for your review!
