I tried
I pretended
I didn't know what I was doing.
It just happened.
I was lost. Scratch that.
I am lost.
Every small detail I changed a bit, year after year until I lost who I ever was. I don't even know if I am me today. I didn't even realize I changed... I think I just adapted. And I let myself fall into place with bend corners and ripped sides.
I fit. With effort. ANd I don't even recognize myself anymore.
I wish to find myself.
Someday
Soon

The other stuff:
I really like this. For such a short piece it really packs a lot of sincerity; in fact the consiseness of it might be part of the reason that it is so emotional. It's almost like a poem/short-story lovechild, in a way. I don't know what to call it...maybe it *is* a poem? Nah, doesn't matter. In any case, whatever you want to call this, it felt really sincere. I for one can relate, and I'm sure that dozens of others can as well.
Keep writing!
