I’ve never felt how it is to love.
I don’t know how it feels to hug the one you can’t be without. I don’t know how it is when you see the one you love, how your heart races and how your stomach lifts.
I don’t know how the kiss feels like, fireworks or just skin against skin?
Maybe all the stories I heard are stereotypes. They are all lies and love doesn’t exist.

This was really interesting. I think it was simple and had a huge effect for such a short piece of writing. The use of cliche's emphasized your point about stereotypes and questioning how realistic love is. Ceasura mid-line also was very effective in isolating and emphasizing certain thing. Very well written, well done.
I've never been in a relationship with someone I truly love (although I think I was in love with someone who didn't feel the same), but I've seen other people have their whole lives altered by falling in love, so I don't think it's just an illusion. A painful truth most of the time though!
Thank you for writing this. I think this really needed to be said. Love is just really a illusion. I mean do not get me wrong, it is a wonderful illusion for those that have it, but all it really offers is pain when one of you fall out of the illusion. Love does not exist, but it is simply an illusion we cast over other people to apply a value system to them. Thank you for this. Well written brilliance.
