Hi Felistia here with a review.
Ok first things first please don't take offense to anything I say. I am trying to help and that's all, so if you don't like what I have to say that's fine.
If you are going to write a short story, you need to paint a picture at the beginning. I don't know what the village looks like in this story and so I have a hard time picturing what's happening.
You don't introduce certain characters very well. You need to form a bit of a relationship with the character to care if the character dies. It doesn't have to be a strong relationship, but you do have to form some connection. So most of the characters in the story are just things to me and that makes the story boring.
The way you swap from person to person so quickly makes it a bit hard to follow and makes it harder to read. I suggest that in this story you should include less characters and more description.
The good things though are that I really like the way you describe the different people in the beginning. I loved Nancey Black, the town nag and how you used her for a little humour.
The whole concept is okay, but it needs some work. Have a good day\night.
Hi.
Thanks for the review, it was helpful.
I do want to clarity the character jumping, though. You see, something went wrong when I posted this, so what was supposed to be there didn't happen. I've taken the opportunity to fix the problem.
Thanks for the review, though! I'll use what you've had to say for future reference.
