In Rubbish

[Verse 1]
I opened up my eyes,
And what I knew since birth
Became visible to me.
Your eyes they always shined,
And mine did too, but they were filled with tears.

[Pre-chorus]
Yeah, I know, I strayed to this war,
And now I find myself holding your white flag.

Don't walk inside my lines.
I learned that I must care about me too.
And I live and let you shine,
But that don't mean that I myself can't fly.
Cause I live and let you shine,
But I don't live to watch you burn me down.

[Verse 2]
I came across a path
Where everyone
Is bleeding in their mind.
Ambivalence is a disease,
Confusement gets the best of you and me.

[Pre-chorus]
Yeah, I know, I strayed to this war,
And now I find myself holding your white flag.

Don't walk inside my lines.
I learned that I must care about me too.
And I live and let you shine,
but that don't mean that I myself can't fly.

[Bridge]
And now I hear you knock on my door,
With the fancy talking I know I should disdain.
And we've been stabbing us with words,
In a battlefield in the meadow at dawn.

[chorus]
Don't walk inside my lines.
I learned that I must care about me too.
And I live and let you shine,
But that don't mean that I myself can't fly.

[End]
Just don't invade my space
I know someone should, too, look after me!
And don't won't be you.
So it's up to me.

Amazing, truly amazing. I usually dont enjoy reading lyrics but I have to say that this particular piece has a flow that grips you from the beginning. I loved the chorus. It was potent and sacrificial in its own way, I am glad it was repeated a few times.
Some of the sentence structures were modern in their positioning, but I felt that that fit into the rhythm.
Good job, darling, keep writing.

I really like this! It's really good. Whenever I try too make up songs I just repeat the same thing over again. You should try sending this to a singer (I think it works that way). I really like verse 1 and the chorus.

Just write a poem, and choose the most concise part (like the summary of the situation) as the chorus. Lol. xD

Also, thanks, dear. :)

I love this, it is really good :)

I have never really had a connection to lyrics, but these really do speak to me on a level i didn't think I had. I rarely walk inside any lines, I find it too clostrophobic.

Well done :)

Woo! Gracias.

I love this. You're poety/song is amazing.

The pre-chorus is awesome. :D

I absolutely adore these lines, I feel like they relate to me well.

Don't walk inside my lines.

I learned that I must care about me too.

And I live and let you shine,

But that don't mean that I myself can't fly.

Cause I live and let you shine,

But I don't live to watch you burn me down.

Job well done.
i'm hoping to se more of you're work.
Keep writing.

Confusiee!!

As always, your poetry///song-writing is beautiful! I espacially adore the second verse. It speaks to my mind, and my mind understands! I didn't come to give you this epic awesome very helpful review... it's not that kind of day today. This is the kind of day where I just feel like telling a piece that it is beautiful. So here goes; Confusie's pretty piece--> You are beautiful! <33
