We left the inn to take a break
And went to sit on the wall of a well
Our feet dangling into the darkness of
The hole knowing not what lay
Beneath, in the murky waters of a wasted well.
Neither spoke, letting the hush of
The night take over.
His bottle of beer clanked as
He placed it on the edge;
Not knowing I was watching him
He closed his eyes and swayed delicately
Along with the night breeze.
I felt myself slipping into a trance
As I watched him more and more,
Drinking in the enchantment of his
Tranquil sway.
He began to hum,
Soft and slow. I swayed
With him, following the rhythm,
Getting lost in a train of thoughts.
Before I realized it
I could feel it- the lightness!
I was soaring through the night sky,
Defying everything that chained me to earth.
His hum transformed to melody,
Carrying me across the cosmos.
Together we traveled the worlds unknown,
Circling the circle of life.
The end to it came as a gasp, as
Suddenly as it had begun.
The silence of the night descended on us
With a force that could plummet us into
The depth of the water.
He answered my questions telling
Me that I just had my first communion
With nature. He thought me to see, not look.
The man I loved had taken me down a journey
Crossing bridges to reach a land of inexistence.
A place where I cease to exist,
Feeling only the breath of life pulsating.
He had shown me the rhythm of nature
Waking me up to see the marvel
The magic of nature coming alive.
This is really good, and really descriptive too! When I read it, I could really see what was going on my head. Great job:)
thanks!
