Farewell darling, my ship is here
soon I’ll be aboard and towards home.
I wish to take you with me
but you say this is your home, this is your land.
Will you miss me as I will you?
You love me after all, don’t you?
Here, I have a gift for you,
take it along with my kiss.
No don’t cry, not now my lady
remember this was your choice
to not come along.
Now, now my dear,
yes I’ll leave my heart here,
for you to hold,
for you to love.
I’m a sailor, my lady, I cannot stay.
Why this sudden change of heart?
I have to go,
I need to leave.
Farewell darling, my ship is here.

This is such a lovely poem - I could literally feel the emotion of both the characters featured in it. Overall it was very smooth, even though both the lines and the stanzas were different sizes. But this was another great thing about your poem; because it symbolises the chaos of emotions that both characters are feeling. I hope you continue to write poetry. You are very talented.
Thank you!
This is so sad.
But so beautifully put. :') Well done Manisha. Good job.
Cheers!
This poem is beautiful. It makes me think of those old songs like "Oh My Darling Clementine" "My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean." It was a very satisfying read and i thoroughly enjoyed this! Keep up the great work!
Like all poems this is hard to review. Let's see if I can do this.
1. Capitalization- this is a poem so I can't look at that unless you don't capitalize something you should have. Nothing wrong in this category though.
2. Spelling- nothing is misspelled.
3. Punctuation- since this is a poem I will not review/nitpick this section.
This poem is full of emotion. It drips down e page as a flower cries during the rain. Boredom is a fine conductor of emotions so I am not surprise. I would say keep writing but you already are.

Hello, manisha. Cheetah here to review your poem for you!
This was so emotional! I could feel the sadness in the poem. You said you wrote this during a CLASS?? Wow, count me impressed! I can't believe you conjured up such a strong topic when you were simply bored. That's so cool. I think this was the best part:
This was incredible. The theme of it all hidden behind simplicity is just beautiful.
This was really great. There's nothing at all to critique. Keep writing!
I guess boredom inspires
Thank you for the comment!
