Mother's Masterpiece

In Poems go here.

Her fingers worked with precision
Each turn and loop leading to
A knot, the needle weaving in
and out, lacing the mass of wool.
Intricate patterns merge together
Leaving behind a delicate trail
Of sweat, love and devotion.

Her jewel would need only the best
Not brought not got but made.
Knitted with the tenderness only
she was capable of, her ceaseless love
filtering deep though the strands of
wool. Pure and white, soft and fine,
 to adorn her jewel.

Her gem now veiled by the
 protective darkness of her womb
would soon know  she
took immense care of him.
He would know, know when he
would become the owner
of his mother’s master piece.

What up Manisha? You were doing such a great job reviewing that I though I'd drop by your portfolio, and lucky me I found one with NO reviews yet! On to reviewing!

So I loved this poem. The imagery was divine and so vivid you painted such a clear picture here.

I loved the continuous metaphor of a child growing in the mother's womb as a 'masterpiece'.

I have just one small nit-pick to report. There seems to be a bit of random capitalization. It may be a stylistic choice, or forgotten punctuation or to emphasize a point. I'm not sure and usually it's obvious so that is my tiny nit-pick.

Well done one this Manisha :D I thoroughly enjoyed it :D
