Cold-Hearted Adamant

E - Everyone

In Poetry

(verse 1)

I've guess I've had a bunch of embarrassing crushes,

I wish they were gone when I counted to two, but I

Never really wanted to think about it much

Well, I guess I never before ran into you

-

If romantics are wimps, then label me one,

I'll be right back here when the sun goes down

Before I decided to let it all run

-

(chorus)

I'm not desperate

I swear, I'm not desperate for anyone

Yes, I'm the cold-hearted adamant

Forever in the corner of your eye

-

I'm not desperate

I swear, I'm not desperate for anything

But instead, for a happy time where all of us can laugh like friends

-

(verse 2)

I've guess I've had numerous times where I would regret,

I wish I didn't do it when I counted to two, but I

Never really wanted to think about it much

Well, I guess I never before ran into you

-

I guess we're here again

Sitting on the table, looking at the night sky ahead

Do I think we're able to finally

Through all these months

Let this go?

-

(chorus 2)

I'm not desperate

I swear, I'm not desperate for anyone

Yes, I'm the cold-hearted adamant

Forever in the corner of your eye

-

I'm not desperate

I swear, I'm not desperate for anything

You know me, I know you, I don't think that'll ever change

-

Instrumental

-

(bridge--rap)

Whenever you laugh, it's stupid

If you are there, I sigh

As I think about you down the hallway, I just ask myself why*

-

(chorus 3)

I'm not desperate

I swear, I'm not desperate for anyone

Yes, I'm the cold-hearted adamant

Forever in the corner of your eye

Hey, Manilla. I am gonna try to make a review of this poem.

First off, I wanna say that you dont have to use the YWS codes for when you are writing. There is a Bold, and Italicize, button along with an underline button. Just to let you know.

Secondly,
I want to say that I love the idea that you are trying to get across here, and I think that you did get it across.

Also, I saw that there was an asterisk....

"As I think about you down the hallway, I just ask myself why*"

May I ask why that is there? I am curious.

Overall, I think that this a really well written poem. You did really good. I think that you have a really good talent.

I love how you put the word chorus, and what chorus it was.

I hope this made sense. LOL.

Thanks for the review. I copy-pasted this from a thing where I had to use BBCode forgot to edit them. The asterisk is also from the original document, a note from myself.

YES! I am so glad that you wrote a song, and you labeled the parts. Like the chorus, the bridge, and all that stuff. I’ve written a lot of songs, and I’ve read a lot of other’s too. But on this website, yours is the first that I’ve ever been able to actually applaud because you included the part. Good job.

Now, for the actual review. This was really well written. I enjoyed the idea behind it, and the words that you used were interesting. Although, the one part that said. . .

“ Do I think were able to finally
Through all these months
Let this go?”

I was able to get it, but I think that if you had put in a comma after months, it would’ve been easier to read.

That’s pretty much about it. I really LOVED this and I really look forward to more of your work. Plus, I honestly hoped that I could’ve heard this song and how it sounded like. Oh well.

Any-whoooo. Keep up the good work!
~your friend, Morgan
