Stuck

I tried to make them proud.

I said it all aloud.

Explained the way I thought.

Described the way I felt.

It was as if it didn't matter,

as if it didn't hurt.

I screamed at the top of my lungs,

every single word.

I guess they will never get me,

They will never understand.

The demons under the bed,

are stationed in my head.

I feel as if I am falling,

With nowhere to land.

No one to understand me,

My thoughts, or my feelings.

With no where to go,

and no opportunities to take.

I guess I'm just stuck,

in this godforsaken place.

Nice job on the poem! I really liked how the person feels like they are alone in the world, that they feel like they are stuck with nowhere to go. You worded it so perfectly and I loved all the emotion you put into it. Sometimes it feels like you are alone in the world because you feel like no one understands no matter how hard they try to. This is a very relatable poem because many people have probably felt something similar to this. Overall, I really liked the structure of the poem, it felt like the words were flowing straight was the poem and into my head. Can't wait to read what you write next!

Carpe diem,

I really love how you convey a feeling of being trapped and stuck. Feeling misunderstood even after you “screamed” at the top of your lungs how you felt, and why you felt the way you do. Your mind is your worst enemy. I feel that.

Thanks for this. I really felt this piece, how the person talking is not understood and is stuck. Sometimes I feel that way, stuck and no possible way out. Thank you for putting it into a poem. It was so well worded and the detail and how realistic it is is superb. It is really deep and I could feel the emotions that the person is feeling. Thanks for this. Keep on writing, and Merry (early) Christmas!

Hello,

This is a really well written poem! Every line conveyed a lot of emotion, and the idea is overall just really relatable. I feel like we've all definitely been injstuations like This, and all we can do is just pour out these thoughts and feeling from our heads into words - like you did here. I like how all of this is like internal. These are all things that we feel inside if us, and it's all just struggling to break free. The line you ended with especially shows that.

"In this godforsaken place."

I really like this line because the "place" you could be referring to is our minds. With no one else able to understand us in the outside world, we can only remain alone in our heads.

Anyway, I really like this poem. It feels like these word just flowed straight from your own head, and this gives it a lot more effect into understanding the tone. I hope to read more from you!

Keep Writing. :)

Thankyou! Sorry I din't see this review till just now!

I could really feel the emotions you portrayed in this. In fact, I have felt exactly like this many times before!
I liked the structure, as it really feels like you are stuck as the poem seems to draw on and on in a long line. It made it seem like a really long sentence someone was saying, which ties in with feeling stuck and not particularly knowing what to do.
However, I do think it could have benefited from perhaps a more regular rhyme scheme or no rhyme scheme at all :-)
Overall, really liked how it made me felt. Very relatable, in my opinion :-)

Thankyou for reviewing and as for the rhyme scheme I wrote this in a minute just based on the thoughts in my head. When I normally write poems they just come out without any hesitation or thinking so its just what I was feeling and quickly typed up. I don't normally use rhyme schemes I just kinda make the poem lines flow together for an overall feeling of reality.

I really like your poem very much. I felt like you live inside my mind and we both are having the same feelings. Lol.So you got the reader's thoughts and feelings. This is the sucess. But one thing that I can't understand. That's "I screamed at the top of my lungs".Won't it be "At the top of my voice " or "At the top of my vocal"?
By the way,I wanna say,"You read my mind, buddy." Great job.:)

Thank you so much for reviewing and I'm not exactly sure but I have heard that phrase be used a lot where I am from so I am just used to using it but I am sure there are other ways of saying it, its more of an expression to show how loud it is.
