Perhaps it's a tired hand
scrawling black ink on a page,
or stories I've kept to myself,
hiding my words, and keeping them safe.
Or maybe it's the late-night
tapping of keys.
Whatever it is...
It's my only release.
The thoughts in my head
and the feelings in my soul,
all need to be released;
they need to be let go.
No canvases I've painted,
nor melodies I've heard,
could ever compare
to expressing with words.
My release doesn't come
from the scars on my wrists,
'Been there, done that.'
It's nothing to be missed.
No, my release doesn't come
from things I say or I do.
My release only comes
when I write something new.

Hi, Lilly here to review your work. I really really loved your poem! It was well written (rare, for most of the poems I read), and I totally and completely agree with what you were saying. I also loved your inclusion of the line about cutting; it made it seem that much more real. One of my new favorite poems. Thank you!

Hello Rachel!!
i loved your poem, mostly because i totally understand and agree with you!!
its not music, its not art, but its always writing that can help let go of all emotions.
"my release doesn't come
from the scars on my wrists,
been there, done that.
its nothing to be missed"
I loved the way you've expressed this
Hey!

MarS here
So, Rachel, it was a very adorable piece. I like how it talks about the ultimate way to escape the harsh realities of the world, 'getting lost in the world of imaginations and letting them spill like a rill from the creaks in the rocks'. Wonderful!!
It's so relative to our lives, lives of us the Young Writers.
Dear, you're great. Because even though there weren't those surprising elements in there but it still went so well within my mind.
Good job.

This is lovely!
I love your flow in this poem! It's very good and appeals!
My favorite stanza is
Some poems talk about how cutting can help, but here you say it doesn't!
This is a very unique poem, and I like the font, very cool!
I cannot critique this, I cannot find something misspelled...
Well
I truly loved this poem..
Keep it up!
Always,
SW
Hello there ^_^
So, in the first stanza:
I think it works better this way.
In the second stanza,
This sentence was weak, as was the last sentence, but this one clearly doesn't present as sensibly as the other sentences of yours do.
I think it'd be better if you'd changed it to "melodies I've created", as all the other things are parts of your creativity and this isn't.
Overall, your style and flow was consistent.
Good job (y)
Hope to see more of your work and I hope my review's helped.

Hey there
I like your poem so much. The topic was well represented in the piece, and it is something that everyone can relate to in one way or an othere. I can feel that you put a lot of effor and personalit in to this poem, and that is exactly what makes it so good!
Your poem truly great work. Keep on writing.I thank you for sharing
Hey you.

You continue to amaze me with how well you can write. And yes you're right, it is easy to relate to. It just flows so well, and kind of keeps the reader reading.
You've also described the feeling of frustration really well. Sometimes, nothing seems to work except writing. The relief doesn't seem to come. The frustrations continues to eat from within..
Well written. Again...
Harshita
Thank you so much! I love reading the reviews you always leave for me.
At least I make someone happy... Happy to be of help..

ALL of it.
It's well thought, the grammar is perfect, it just fits in together so well.
I couldn't see anything that seemed out of place.
I can relate to this, honestly.
Everything you put in, how you out it in, how it stays in, is just perfect.
I absolutely love the way you use your words.
They're odd, but yet so beautiful when put together.
You have an great talent, and I'm looking forward to reading more.
Keep up the good work!
