This is a song I wrote after getting through a really hard time in my life. I finally felt like life had meaning and I had a purpose. I still have bad days, but now I know that the good days are worth powering through the bad. Here's the YouTube link if you want to hear how it sounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFpKpJ47WUo

Woke up to a sun, sunny day.
Poured my coffee then it started to rain,
But that's okay 'cause I had nowhere to be.

Made some breakfast then I took a walk.
Of course, after the rain stopped.
Then I came home and cuddled with my cat.

I guess what I'm trying to say
Is that I'm having a good day.
I could use it after all of the bad times.

Life has been one big rain cloud after another,
But the sun is finally coming out.
There's a rainbow right above me and I can finally see
I'm where I'm supposed to be.

Now, don't get me wrong.
I still have days that are long,
And I just want them to be over.

So I can go to bed
And forget the demons in my head,
But I know that I can defeat them.

Because I am stronger than
I was before and
I know that I can get through this.

Life has been one big rain cloud after another,
But the sun is finally coming out.
There's a rainbow right above me and I can finally see
I'm where I'm supposed to be.

I know that I'll survive because
I've been through worse
And I still made it out alive.
Though I may be bruised and scarred,
I'll be strong.
I'll move on.

Life has been one big rain cloud after another,
But the sun is finally coming out.
There's a rainbow right above me and I can finally see
I'm where I'm supposed to be.

This is a delightful song, it's straight to the point, and immediatly relatable. I adore this sort of songwriting, it's real emotions the writer had, and their getting it out in a positive way, artistically. I rate this, a 10/10. I love this song. :)

Hello! This is really cool! I watched the youtube video and it was AWESOME! The lyrics are amazing and your ukulele and singing were really good.
Maybe you could organize the lyrics into a verse/chorus/bridge setup? Or labeled... I don't know, just a way to have it be organized... It's fine how it is, though. Actually it might be better... Just a thought, though. You do what you like better.
The whole thing is really awesome!!!!! :D
Looking through there honestly isn't anything that I feel the need to fix- your word choice is spot on and it's all really beautiful.

Beautiful! Love the song, lyrics are so well written, music is great. I have no edits for you. I love the way you used the sun coming out as a way to show that you were restoring your joy and love of life after having emotional days which you portray as rainy, stormy days. Beautiful work!

I just finished watching the video after reading the lyrics, and.. I'm so stunned. You're a multi talented person, not just a writer but a musician too! :D

I related to the lyrics, but hearing the song being sung made it so much more powerful, and your voice is just stunning<3

I have no critique for you, I just wanted to let you know you're a very talented person and I loved your song so much. I look forward to seeing and maybe hearing more of your work in the future!

Keep Writing,

-Katja
