Empty

In Lyrical Loveliness

Once upon a time
She was naive.
She didn't hear the whispers
Trailing behind her.

She wrapped herself in color.
They told her that
That wasn't right.
Dreams are meaningless,
They said,
And she shouldn't even
mess with them.

She couldn't take it anymore,
So she screamed...

Chorus
Is this what it's like to be empty?
To feel like nothing's
Worth fighting for
To gorge on hollow untruth
And wonder why you're
Even here?

She danced
As she sang out
Her final words
She smiled as
She took her last breath.
And then they all
Ran to her.

As they cry
Her spirit laughs
As she sparkles
In the night.
Looks down
And asks them one last time...

(Chorus)

She wonders why
They confine themselves
To cardboard palaces
Not seeing the
Beauty of the sun,
The trees,
The wind,
The rain.

Tear your boxes apart,
She cries.
There's no need
To live so blind.
Open your eyes
And you won't have to wonder...

(Chorus)

The words are incredible. However, criticising a song is very difficult without hearing what the music sounds like.
