Beautiful Nonsense

In poetry

Beautiful nonsense,

Wonderful words,

Make me a song,

Make me a bird,

Make me a ballad,

For all to sing,

Make me a song,

Worth remembering.

Because while all the earth

May crumble and die,

Still nothing's more comforting

Than a mother's sweet lullaby.

Play me a song,
One where you play along.
This is what you sing me here,
Words and phases that are so dear.
With a pen and a talent,
You really express something so valiant.
Please do keep writing,
The inspiration your in-sighting!
Oh great, never late, always better,
Writer.

This poem is beautiful and the flow is very nice.

I was a little confused with what entirely you were trying to say, though. It has a sweet sound and all, but the physical depth with detail is a little hard to comprehend.

I would also recommend adding punctuation. Punctuation is extremely important. Other than that, it's a wonderful piece of writing. I think in it's entirety, it's a beautiful piece. Keep up the excellent work.

It is pretty good and I think I can understand what you try to say us through it but still the idea or the thing you are writing for was kind of a mystery for me untill I did not read it several times. The ending is very good and I like it.
The Make me a bird part thought.I dont get it.Maybe you meant something specifical with it but I do not know.It is a bit off in my point of view. The tittle of its own confused me when i started reading this.It may be replaced with more suitable one but in conclusion...it is pretty well written.

Hello, Herbgirl. You have a worthwhile little poem-thing going on here, though what you're going to do with it one day I can't say for sure. I can, however, review the content for a little while (because I'm more of a content guy than anything).

First off, I'm not a hundred percent sure what you're going for here. I think you were talking about a mother's sweet lullaby and how it seems eternal in a temporal world, but I don't think it's been fully explored. You seem to have a lot of concepts going on here, but they never develop into anything. For example--the first line of your poem is 'beautiful nonsense'. Why do you consider Song (or Lullaby, or just plain Words) beautiful nonsense? Is it because its immaterial? Is it because it may seem inconsequential? Or is it because it just refuses to make any sense in the material world, remaining its abstract and therefore infinite ways? After that line, you go to talk about songs and birds and the temporal nature of the Earth, but never address Beautiful Nonsense again. Just a thought, but I think you can expand upon that and build up to a more beautiful ending.

I am also iffy about the 'Make me a bird' line. I suppose it would make a good metaphor of some sorts, it's relatively fun figurative language, but overall it just doesn't work for me. I think you could replace it with other synonyms for 'song'--ie, 'tune'.

Okay, okay, so enough with the complaints. What did I like about the poem? Well, I liked the flow it had for itself. It was very free, and smoothly transitioned into the other lines. I also loved the idea of calling a Song or Lullaby 'Beautiful Nonsense', which is why I asked you to expand on that a bit--I think the concept would make a worthwhile poem to read. Right now, it's good as it is, but it needs a spark to make it truly great.

Signing out,

--EM.

Hey!

I really loved this poem! And I love it so much that I want it to be improved by these small things:

~Adding punctuation. Please! I think that punctuation is so important in a writer's life whether they write poetry or novels.
~I was confused about the bird part because I guess bird's sing but still it seemed random.
~The flow of the poem was amazing!

That's all I have for now. I really loved this poem. I flowed so nicely,
Alice ♥
