Winter Winds

In poetry

Winter Winds,
Howling loud,
Blowing away winter clouds,
Although right now you freeze and scare,
Violently rattling branches bare,
Someday you'll be a warm spring breeze,
Ruffling flowers, wakening bees.
So winter winds,
Don't be blue,
You've got a warm spring waiting for you.

This gives an amazing and extremely poetic view on a winter dream... or wind (although I prefer to think of a wind such as that as some sort of dream). With artful description and witty wording, this was a great and satisfying read that I would recommend you also share with others to either brighten someone's day or inspire them to write or live or view the world a little differently. You took a closer look and magnified something beautiful so that it could be viewed as something far more than violent and chilling. Keep writing!

Hi herbgirl, just wanted to introduce myself first. I'm ranay and this is short, but cute and refreshing. Especially with hellish winters in the north lol. The poem has the perfect flow for the seasonings coming together one after another. It also helps cheer you up a bit considering with winter being so long it does make you sad. Good work!

Hello, herbgirl~
This is MergSword here with a review for your poem on the last review day of 2015!

Grammar Issues and Other Errors
I found no such errors, mistakes or grammar issues, which is really rare in poetry. There isn't much in the poem to have an error in it, so good job for having no grammar issues, mistakes or errors!

The Pros of this Poem
I like the simplicity of the poem, and how it shows hope in the worse of times. It was short, yes but very beautifully written and it proves that there's always something good in the end.

The Cons of this Poem
I guess the poem could be a bit longer, and show some of the worse effects of the winter season to give the winter winds more reasons to be blue, and upset, and to make the winds more eager to become a "warm spring breeze"

My Overall Opinion
I could easily copy and paste the entire "Pros" section here. I was hoping for a little bit more from the poem, but in the end, it was a pleasant read.

~Keep on Writing!

Hey herbgirl! I am so happy to be reviewing this for you! I like this poem because it's hopeful even in bad times. It provides a light at the end of the tunnel, at the end of winter. I hoped for a longer poem because just as I was getting into it... it ended. Like a flash of lightning or a snowflake on your nose. It was something beautiful that I wish I could have enjoyed even more! Just a thought. Chao! BlueDaisy

Hey, InfiniteRectangles here! I really enjoyed this poem! It was adorable :3 I like the rhyme scheme and your use of imagery. I especially like the line "Violently rattling branches bare". It's descriptive and a nice touch of alliteration. Well done!

There really isn't much to critique here. It's short and sweet and is beautifully written. The plot is consistent as well. Really, the only thing I would suggest is to maybe try to avoid over-punctuation. Also, the period after "wakening bees" seems a bit out of place to me.

Another thing I would suggest is to maybe make this a bit longer and go into more detail so the readers can really get a feel for your poem. But that is just a suggestion. It's really good as it is, but adding more to it might make it even better.

That's all I have for you! This was an adorable poem and I loved it so much! Keep writing and have a wonderful day/night! ^-^

Hey infiniterectangles. I wish you would respond to my review! The offer stands until you are ready to take it! Let me know!
