Certainly not a masterpiece, but I had to get this out of me before I went crazy thinking.
If I died tomorrow
would you think of me?
And what would you think
of the girl who keeps to herself?
That isn’t the best
or the worst at anything?
Whose name never crossed your mind,
but is now everything anyone talks about?
Would you still laugh at me?
Would you feel guilty now that I was dead?
Who would cry
and who would die a little inside?
How would you remember me?
Would you attend my funeral?
What would you think
after you read my life’s story
from the booklet with my picture on it?
Would you call it a tragedy,
my being so young?
If I die tomorrow,
the world may stop.
For a day,
a minute,
a second,
before it regains its composure and
begins to spin again.
When would you forget?

Hello there! I liked this quite a lot. I believe that there are many teenagers out there are feeling this too and thus, this is a good way of expressing your emotions. So this is the unpopular opinion of mine (hehe)I would want it to be read like this.
You might need to work on the flow of the last two stanzas cause I think it went a little off for me.
But overall, this is a good poem!
Keep writing!
Hey there! Let me first of all say I have definatley been in the shoes of this character in the poem. I've often thought about if I did die, what would people think of me? Would they even think of me for a minute? However I thouhgt that the format of this was more like an actual story. Nevertheless, I really liked it! Maybe it's because I could really draw a connection to it. Oh, and by the way, there's a book called Thirteen Reasons Why You might have heard of it. The book is sort of like your poem in a way. It's a fantastic book and I highly recommend you read it. Anyway, keep writing, you have the potential and I think if you just use it a bit more you will be a great writer.
Hi. First of all I want to say how much I love the sort of weary conviction in your words. But although I can feel the emotion in them I don't think they are as creative as they could be. I think you should try to develop your ideas into more poetic language. If you did that then it would really strengthen the sence of longing and conviction.
If I die tomorrow,
the world may stop.
For a day,
a minute,
a second,
before it regains its composure and
begins to spin again.
When would you forget?
I have a problem with the end of your poem. You begin by asking if the person will think of you and by the end you have concluded that the person will think of you but you want to know how long for. To me it doesn't make sence. I also think you need to have one last stanza to complete your message. Perhaps repeat the first stanza and say "So if i died tomorow, would you think of me?" I think that would make a stronger ending but it's your poem and your emotion are the subject so you need to write what you feel is right.
Anyway I think this is a good poem and a pleasure to read despite it's negative subject matter. I hope you can review some of my poetry sometime. Keep writing. Thanks.
