I have to say I really love the meaning of this peace, the way you show giving in as a form of freedom. It's unique, and I like it. The voice in this piece is also very well done, the reader can clearly picture in their someone questioning what they live for.
Your grammar, punctuation, layout, and all that nitpicky convention stuff is all good. I can't really find much to criticize here, I really liked your rhyme scheme too, it's nice and subtle and natural; It doesn't sound forced or out of place.
Overall, a good, solid piece of poetry.
