Curse

In Random Things to See

A spell will be cast

to call the devil forth.

The ice will melt down

in the south and the north.

Beasts will die out,

plants will decay,

humans will be left

to live and betray.

Those who exist

will live on their kin

with no other choice

but to carry the sin.

The heavens refuse

to accept those who lived

for they can no longer

be saved and relieved.

The dead will arise,

be prepared for the worse.

Pray to the lord

to rid the bloody curse.

Truly grueling, horrifying, truly magnificent. There are no spelling errors, no incorrect grammar. It's just wonderfully perfect. Throughout the whole poem, it had this feeling that it truly belonged to be a Prophet on the near future. At least in my opinion. I am always curios, and this poem makes me curious. If you don't mind me asking, what was your inspiration for this? I always love to know the full background story. But anyway, sorry for the really short reveiw. Keep writing, you will go far

Hello there, CM here with a quick review. First off all, I liked it a lot, it reminded me of a prophecy... It flowed well and the rhymes went well too.

A spell will be cast
to call the devil forth.
The ice will melt down
in the south and the north.

I liked this stanza a lot, especially the part about the devil, well done.

Beasts will die out,
plants will decay,
humans will be left
to live and betray.

I also liked this but I don't think betray was a good word to put in there. Maybe it is? I'm no master to poetry.

Those who exist
will live on their kin
with no other choice
but to carry the sin.

Woah, hang on a sec. What does 'will live on their kin' mean? That totally confused me.

The heavens refuse
to accept those who lived
for they can no longer
be saved and relieved.

Nice.

The dead will arise,
be prepared for the worse.
Pray to the lord
to rid the bloody curse.

Great! This poem was amazing... Really. The last stanza was a great end to it all. Thanks for posting and keep on writing!
