I am a quest,
Reaching out with departing hands,
Lifting up, and
Falling away.
When God spoke me into briefness,
Knitting quiet bone and shining feather,
He seemed to know I would grow to be
His heart's final, glowing praise.
I am a quest,
Outlasting only the moment's last memory
Of whatever was just beautiful.
And after the most wondrous,
And the most fleeting
Of visits,
I will depart with you.
And together, we will love into the horizon.
And together, we become the quest.

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
like your there, and perhaps what you wanted to say.your thoughts are not really very clear and at times you are self contradictory so you have grounds for improvement.
i may be sounding rude but believe it or not, i have pure interests to help you.
now for my nitpicking-
"spoke me into briefness, "- how god befriended your speech? this is quite weird the way you made it sound. i think a ''to'' after ''me'' would make it a proper and meaningful sentence.
"Lifting up, and
Falling away. "- the ''and'' would rather suit before falling in the next line. moreover, i see mo period after and so why is the "f" of ''falling'' in capital.
i saw the same mistake throughout the poem so i am not really pointing out all but do correct them if you agree with me.
"shining feather,"- i think the use of "sighing" in place of shining would be more appropriate. read your line and then the correction i suggested, and i then choose what sounds better. this decision is fully yours however that you would try this exercise or not.
"moment's last memory", i think the word " last" is overdone, you may even drop it out without changing the meaning at all.
"we will love into the horizon."- this is quite wired again. try " we will love as we disappear in the horizon"[ as you see no one can really reach a horizon. if you mean it as a setting/background, mention it as such]
keep writing,

Beautifully written and expresses so much emotion. I love the use of complex vocabulary intertwined with simple sentences. You have a lot of talent (Lucky!).
I absolutely LOVE this verse:
"I am a quest,
Outlasting only the moment's last memory
Of whatever was just beautiful."
It really got to me. Amazing.
Wow. This is such a powerful poem. It's really awesome. It really deserves to be on the front page. In my opinion, it's kind of a hard poem to understand the meaning of, but that's what makes it great. It requires deep thinking and self reflection, and then, the more you read it, the more it starts to come together. I love poems like that; I think many of the classic poets wrote like that, phrasing and words we don't use everyday because it's fancier than we are used to.
If this is meant to be in stanzas, one very easy way to get stanzas is to put a line with a period in between each stanza. (You might already know a different way, but I didn't at first, and that's been a life saver for me). I also love how you repeat "I am a quest" because it reminds the reader what it's about and what they should be directing their connections to.
The easiest thing for me to relate to was the last few lines. One thing I've thought about is how after a moment ends, it's pretty much gone, and if not right away, in a few years or maybe a few decades that memory will be gone. Even so, the quest, journey, adventure, or whatever you want to call it is what matters, not the destination. Especially after seeing jazzydracula's review and knowing that the quest in the poem is life, it is so much more beautiful and relateable. I also love your mention of God because God is awesome and I love to see others' love for Him.
Amazing Poem!!!!
Sweet poem! I didn't really notice anything wrong. I need to do something, so I will do your big review later. but until then... Bye, bye for now!
GREAT JOB ! I like it! The metaphor is perfect!
Thank you!!
Hello! Okay, so first of all I'd like to ask what exactly is the quest? Is the quest just the journey of life? Being knitted together as a baby and then departing for the afterlife? I know it's a poem so you don't need to explain, I'm just a little confused. Sorry!

Apart from that it's a wonderful poem. The way you've split up the sentences into different lines works really well. I like how you've mentioned the start and beginning of a person's life.
So yeah, I don't have anything else to say, it's great! Well done.
You are exactly right! Glad you liked it, thank you for reading.
