A bridge of old poetry aflame

  • If everything is trauma, why, nothing is
  • Palm laid out, I keep casting blue poems, scattering frosty night sky
  • There’s something in the air, maybe glass-dust, or poisoned spirits
  • Interlude: you’ll break the delicate daises, and choke them with this attitude
  • A tanka? A sonnet? Don’t make me choose, I want them all
  • If I am an optimist, then I know I’m right
  • Make me your happy pariah
  • I do remember once breaking my back on those cobblestone beliefs, but –
  • Fingers curled in, restore MP, I can’t complain, really
  • Interlude: happiness trivialises what you’ve been through, what everyone has been through
  • How rude – I ice my coffees with frozen toothaches
  • Sunburst apologies to the sucking night winds, they won’t tell you where to go, lost souls
  • I gave up on goodness so long ago
  • Now I keep writing a bridge of poetry
  • I’ll go nowhere, that breaking red horizon
  • I’ll never put a full stop on it

Hello Liminality! Hannah here for a quick review. I would like to do team tortoise and haven't wrote a review for today yet so here I am! Anyways, lets get to it.
Grows:
I am wondering about the format of this poem. I haven't seen anything like it before. It looked sort of like a list, but didn't sound like one. It just seems a little strange to separate each line/sentence with a bullet point. If this is your style, then keep writing like this!
Glows:
This was a beautiful poem! It provided an image, a perfect image in my head and so many different ones! Great job. It seems like this had an overall theme, with completely different sentences and I admire your ability to do that.
I hope that you are enjoying 2021, that you have a good Valentines day, that you keep writing and have a great day! I hope to hear more from you!

This is so incredibly beautiful. It’s choppy but somehow it flows so well, even as it switches from line to line. They all feel as though they connect to an overall theme, even if it’s a very abstract poem. I especially liked the idea of including the interludes; I almost wish there had been a third, for the golden trio rule. I also like your decision for the bullet points. It gives the idea they don’t need to connect to allow the poem to flow. Honestly, all the lines are so good that I can’t say I have any notes of improvement. They each stand on their own, which in this type of poem, is really what the author is going for.

Overall, well done!

Thanks for the review! Ah I do love the idea of having a third interlude there, that's a good catch. <3333

We always talk about the "doers" and "dreamers" but I'd like to give a big shoutout to the "tryers".
