- Introduction:
- I know I shouldn't believe in reader-oriented suction
- Nor should I believe in red-ink reduction
- I believe stories must be made in vitro
- No, I have lived a plotline, and all the way through
- Body:
- Everything that starts dull must become gaudy
- I hate that rule, I dance both dreary and bawdy
- Everything that ends in over-chromatic tears is bored
- I rewrite manuscripts, and I make them too odd
- Conclusion:
- Forgive me not this fountain pen intrusion
- Forgive me not my non-linear infusion
- Your version of freedom is a surface-level con
- You tell me to fight battles that never can be won
- Reprise:
- I cannot believe in any reader-centric prize
- I don't believe we win by writing ourselves lies.

Good Evening, or whatever time you happen to be reading this! This is my first review in awhile, so forgive me if I'm a little rusty.
I love this poems style! There's so many fun things you can do with it, yet I see it so rarely, so it was amazing to see what you did with it!
And I know this does not necessarily a requirement for poetry, but I do have a soft spot for rhyming schemes. And honestly, you nailed it! The last two lines in particular stood out to me.
I read this poem to be about News Outlets, though perhaps I see it more in the last two stanzas, rather than the first.
I saw it as someone was conflicted about exaggerating the truth to bring attention to their articles, though I don't think that's what you were going for.
Anyway, this was an awesome poem, and I hope to review more of your works in the future! Have a good day or night!
Thanks for the review!
Why did this have to end?
All jokes aside I love how this is more or less a poem that explains
the conventional writing structure, and then rejecting it for being just another lazy grading tool.
-"I believe stories must be made in vitro" Vitro means outside a living organism you might be saying a story should not be kept in your head, It must be written down.
I am sensing a theme of literary elitism someone is telling you how you are suppose to be writing.
"I don't believe we win by writing ourselves lies." I see someone who loves writing being scolded for writing wrong, "GREEN IS NOT A CREATIVE COLOR".
Being talked down to about writing as appose to being talked to.
Or maybe i could just be projecting.
Thanks for the review!
no prob.
Thanks for the writing.
