Ok this hit me on a personal level I mean, how do you perfectly describe this?

One hundred percent relatable, never related to something so much in my life.

It's honestly pretty funny, I came expecting to read a poem about writers block.

But this much better than I could've imagined... especially since I just got out of writers block.

Hello. This is ILoveBooks. And rwady to review this poem you have XD. Like seriously this amazing for me to write a review in Review Day

Happy Review Day!

Anyway this is actually funny and hilarious for me. I actually click this poem because I thought I would see something really amazing like a long poem or something XD your title caught my attention that's why I wanna read this because I'm the kind of writer who always experience writer block. So yeah. I'm actually laughing and smiling like an idiot here. I get how that one period explain a writer's block. I love this even if it just a period. I have a great love and make me smile. Yeah that was actually amazing and it made me wanna write some story because this relax me.

Anyway thats all for now. Happy Review Day again XD

Wow when i was clicking this, i only see a box for me to write but no words. That is cool and your title interest me and the genre but no story, that is cool because it is like the first time i see this. No story. So you are feeling me that Writers Block is that you can write anything you want? No one cares what you write it is your story and imagination?

At first I was waiting for a long poem on how writers block was so awful, and almost incurable. (A boy in my middle school english class wrote a long poem about writers block, and I envisioned that was how yours was going to be). Then I saw the period, and I realized what you were doing. I like your interesting take on it, even though it is just one period! It's funny, because you actually captured writers block without even having to write anything (which is basically what writers block is). Well, done, I had a nice laugh from this one...

Hello, ChipsMcCoy. I'm Dillbert and I have a review. I saw your name on that poem that is trending, and saw this on the side bar thingy so I felt the need to check this out. I didn't get the point of this. First of all, "Mystery/Suspense"? I was taught to properly put your works under the right genre, and I didn't find that part funny about it. I understand the dot, but maybe it would of been funny if you had random letters like "hjdjfjjlfhkdldfhjksfdhkfhjkd" and stuff like that.
Anyways, I liked it somewhat.
Dillbert, out

I was actually kind of confused at first. I was just sitting here waiting for it to load for probably 3 minutes before I actually looked at it. Then I just burst out laughing because this truly is perfect! That really is the only way to capture writer's block. Period.

Thanks :D

This was an interesting work, really telling us what predicament you are in, Chippy. I love the randomness of the work, and how you wrote it, which is so much different from normal works on Writers Block. I mean, most people simply post a poem about Writers Block, putting in their little bit, and hoping that its unique, when in fact most of them are the same. The same poem spelled out a different way.

Not this poem.

What you intended to write is truly a mystery, as you put as the genre. I wonder what you were intending to write, and what made you decide to write this. A unique idea about Writer's Block is very rare, but you found it.

One nitpick. hee-hee

.

Since this is the beginning of a paragraph(and the beginning of your work), it requires an indent. A tiny nitpick, but there isn't anything else to nitpick!

Okay, that nitpick was awfully silly. But in order to do a review, there has to be oneee nitpick in it.

I hope this helped, but it looks as though you have everything under control here. ;)

Knight r4 here to review this work though there isn't much to review. But I will still tell you what I thought

Hahaha! This is rather humorous. I can't even describe it. This is just brilliant. It's way better than going into this whole charade about staring at your computer screen and there is a blank page. I mean seriously! That is true. But this...it's just brilliant! I think that you should publish this. It is the shortest poem you will ever read and yet it is also the best. And there isn't even any rhyme or reason to it. Or is there? I am not sure.

This work is so simple I found no nit-picks and nothing to critique. All I can say is that you have summed up writers block in a very concise manner. The only thing better than this would be a blank page. But YWS wouldn't let you do that.

Some people might consider this stupid, but the simplicity of it is what makes it so brilliant!

I myself don't really have a whole lot of trouble with writers block. But for those who do I would definitely recommend this to. You have done an excellent job of describing how thousands of writers all around the world feel. To this work I give five gold stars! Excellento job! Keep up the good work and happy writing!!! :D

Chips, I can totally relate to this. But this isn't something I would put up for reviewing.

What I would like more than this dot is to see you overcome your writer's block and turn this into a real poem.

That's what I'd like to see.

xoxo

ChipsMcCoy says...

Thanks for your input, but to me this is a real poem :).

Hello. XD
I am going to give this a proper review, because it's a proper work.
It's writing about a struggle, it's about the battle a writer faces against a blank piece of paper. And it's awful, but you've conveyed it accurately here.
The dot:

.
symbolises the writer's block itself. It is the obstacle we must battle against in the struggle for those priceless ideas.
You've got it. :)

Keep writing.

Hello! KatyaElefant here to review! Let's use see what we have here(some of these things are jokes so if I say something stupid, it's a joke XD).

This poem could be considered the shortest poem in the world! No joke! I watched this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6F7quI-MbzY ). All the poems were one letter but this dot is much much smaller than a letter. I just love the over all idea of this. One problem I found this this poem is that it is so short, it is only one character long! I feel like you could expand this or were you going through writer's block when you made this! Also congrats on getting the front page so quickly! This is a poem that everyone should read! Anyways, great job with this poem! Keep writing stuff like this! If you make another poem be sure to tell me about that!

ChipsMcCoy says...

Thanks for reviewing, I could expand it by doing two dots next time.

AdmiralKat says...

0_0 That would be too long! :D

Hey, yo, Chips Ahoy McCoy! Strange here on this fabulous Review Day and, like I told you, I was going to review this.
This was extremely clever, and made me laugh. Even the whole idea of this is award winning. Writer's Block is something all us writers do suffer, and it's crippling. The whole bluntness of this poem/whatever is brilliant! It's really thought through and just clever! There's not much to say as this poem/whatever is really, nothing.
The planning is also really funny. As you asked me before you published it, this is the best way to handle it. Now, will irony play, as in if you actually HAVE writer's block? Eh, that's for you to decide. This made me really happy. I'm sorry since this is such short of a review, but there's only one word/point in this poem. Made me laugh, great job Chips.
Overall, Bravo.
Strange gives you..
9.9/10
Great job,
Keep writing,
Stay groovy, my friend.

I have a lot of criticism.
First of all, the words you used were extremely explicit! This should have been rated 18+ for disturbingly mature content.
Secondly, I was shocked by how rude you were! I can't believe your ignorance! It's disgusting!
Thirdly, I was kidding about everything above.
YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY SOMEONE FINALLY CAPTURED WRITER'S BLOCK TO ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! I'd say this is the best thing I've read all day, and it didn't have any words!
10/10.
+1

Corncob says...

Wait. I just read the other reviews and realized this is meant to be a deleted poem. (I didn't read the actual version, I only read the deleted version.)
Well, honestly, I still think a single period captures writer's block perfectly.

Willard says...

It isn't a deleted version. It's only a period on purpose

Corncob says...

oh wait, yes. ok good i feel less foolish

I like it! Short, sweet, to the point. I also like how you said "absolutely nothing is going through my mind to help me with writing". I often feel like that, I can't get down a single sentence. Like your mind is blank. So many causes for writers block. Lost sleep is the most common. But you summed it up in a single dot. And I got a laugh out of it, so we all won. :D
