This is a quick poem that just waltzed into my head
hope you like it
Purple
What is purple?
The color purple means
Sunset,
Beauty,
Love
Purple
Is the love you feel for the person next to you.
Purple,
Means so much and so little...... What would we do without it?
Purple
Means so much to you and I,
What would we do with out it?

thanks for the reviews guys!!!! they helped alot!
Great. I am a fan of purple too
. Just one detail, I'd have liked if you had been more explanatory about the emotions.
Purple is my favorite color, too!
Surely, this means so much to you (the writer), and so allow me to congratulate you.
Every literary work is a masterpiece for the writer and if it only needs a little encouragement to make that person better, let's give it to him or her.
I would appreciate if you'd give us more next time, dear. This one's not much but for sure, you can do a lot better.
Good luck!
This was good I liked how it was just questions and it doesn't look like you sat for three hours to think of the next line it sound like it flowed from you not that you had to yank it out.
Over all:
I think you need to show more of how this all happens. Yeah, purple means love, but what does that mean? Why is it important?
And you can't have so many questions (varibles) in a poem (equation) without enough connections and reason for them being there. And I am sure you can better show these questions.
Saying something like: Purple is the sturdy borad on a ricketty bridge. It shows what it means, in a more concrete way.
And if you wanted to show these equations you could say: Purple is like a lost cell phone. And then we'd ask ourselves, what would I do without my phone? I mean purple, wow, is it that big a part of my daily life? Is it that important? Stuff of that sort.
And when working with a poem like this, you want to make sure everything moves.
Show all your work, don't combine too many steps like someone would in in an equation otherwise you might not see where you made the mistake or you might lose us. So make sure everything is there.
So that we can see the transition and better connection between the lines / ideas. And how you got to that final answer.
And on a final note
Don't yell at someone for giving you a review on how to improve. That's what this site is for, and when you yell at someone for being kind enough to review you and a person that is just doing their job or something that they enjoy, You're the rude one. Jenna was perfectly okay, that was a nice review, you should be thanking her, a thousand times over for putting the time in to make sure you can get better.
Good luck, keep writing.
PM me with any concerns;

O.K., I totally get what you mean when you say you have to come to your own conclusions. I was just forced to write a poem like this for school. Like always when I do poetry for school it turned out bad because I wasn't actually inspired, but this, this is great!
I do agree with the other reviewers though, in the sense that you should add more. No, not more descriptions, but Purple is actually so much more than what you have said. I mean it is not only 'Sunset' 'beauty' and 'love' Yes, I know those are three things that kind of have stuff in common with each other, but purple could mean so many more things, royalty, fancy, a little girl on her way to school. The possibility are really endless. So, in conclusion to this rant I will give you an idea that just popped into my brain. You could make a story. Work all the meanings of purple so they fit together like a puzzle. That is just an idea, but I still think you should at least expand.
Hope I helped,
A. S.
Aw, go easy on the poor kid, you guys! There, there, dear. I liked it. Purple = amazingness. My favorite color of all time.
Hiya Pointe2drama,
To be honest, this poem could be so much more. I think the concept was there but a lot was missing. I agree with our fellow reviewers, you need to explain everything in this poem. Like, why is purple so important? Why does it mean so much? You seem to question your poem a lot, in some poems it's good, but I think instead of questioning it so much, you need to answer it too.
This poem could have some unlocked potential, but well done anyway!
Best wishes for future writing!

The poem was quite interesting and mysterious but i think you could explain it a bit more.

The point of this poem was for the user to answer the questions not tear apart my poem!!!! God that was rude! But whatever you think. But for future reviewers the point is to come to your own conclusions
Someone told me poems are like essays. Would you ask so many questions in an essay? I know you want your reader to wonder and think, but I feel that you need to show that in a different way.
