blown away

E - Everyone

In muffled voices

~~~
we grapple hold
with fragile roots
and leaves that cannot bear our fruits
~~~

but when the wind

comes brushes forth

at least, we're still planted on earth

~~~
we may not be
able to pledge
that we'll keep all our foliage
~~~

but, still at least

we can daresay

that we still can't be blown away

I think it describes the turbulence of the human nature, by comparing human to a flower or something like that. Every man is rooted like a plant in a soil and it takes more than just physical strength and ability to laugh remain firm and standing.
How we may be blown away doesn't matter, but how we are able to hold ground and root. It is of no doubt that there are certain things that can make us fall and become frail, but like trees, plants and flowers, we keep our roots.
No matter how far the force of the earth seems to blow, it can never blow one out of life and that's why "we can dareaay that we still cannot be blown away".
The ability to keep tall like the cedars of Lebanon wells up in us and that's why even if "we may not be able to pledge our foilage but at least we have something to boast about and that no matter what, we ll not fall.

thanks for the review!

Greetings, Zekcede here with a review!

Starting off, the way the poem begins is very intriguing. Throughout the entirety of the poem, there is also a sense of magic, even though the poem is based on reality. The flow of the words is very melodic, and enjoyable, hooking the reader and tugging them in. The final line is also quite beautiful. The phrase "that we still can't be blown away," has a lasting effect that makes you kind of sit still and think about it for a minute. Actually, that's a lie, the entire poem is like that. The way everything is phrased, along with the intentional(?) un-capitalized style, leaves a really cool imprint after reading it. Thanks for writing this, I enjoyed it. Keep up the good work!

Also, on an unrelated note, I love that your pfp is kise ryouta

yup the uncapitalization was unintentional

also

yes kise is awesome

Truly beautiful, no wonder why it made it to the Literary Spotlight! The poem really flows well and the picture also helps create a nice mental image for the audience. I absolutely adored how you used "we" which gave a voice to not only one plant but as if the whole community is speaking as one, really fits well!

Amazing job! Congrats on making the literary spotlight! Keep writing!
