La Flor de Oro

In Poetry

Okay, I just decided to try something new this time and write a poem meant to be in Spanish. I wrote it first in English, but I need help with the translation. I don't know if I got it completely right. So, any comments are welcome!
Here it is in English:

The golden flower
grows quickly,
eager to share its brilliance
that rivals the sun's rays.
Shining yellow petals
smoother than silk
burst forth from the bud.
Their beauty brings light
to all things surrounding them.
A magical transformation
from seed to flower
brings hope and inspiration,
but it cannot last forever.
The wind and torrents of rain
beat it down,
and they think they have won,
but a new bud
rises from the earth
and pours out its beauty once again.

Hey, Mello!

I love this poem a lot. I don't understand a single word of Spanish but I'm glad you translated the poem into English as well because this is something that shouldn't be missed!

You've wonderfully described the essence and beauty that the budding of a new flower brings. This poem would be perfect for a Spring read and would delight anyone's heart to read. I'm looking forward to reading more from you so keep the ink flowing!

Hello mello!

Well I love this poem. It's true. People knock you down again and again in life, all you can do is stand up and do it all again. I love how you used the symbolisation of a flower. The poem is beautiful and I think the grammar is very good and perfect down to every note.

The opening lines burst with description and captured me easily so I wanted to read the rest of the poem. The ending summed up the whole poem really well. And you managed to keep up the short lines and great description throughout so congrats there.

I'm learning spanish and I was so proud when I could understand that version. ^^ :D
