Part I: Roses

In Poetry

In a rose garden,
a single flower stands out,
white in a red sea.

Its size matters not.
The rose draws my eyes towards it,
and captivates me.

Roses red as blood,
far too numerous to count,
they do not matter.

The ivory rose
attracts something within me,
drawing me closer.

Smooth, silky petals
attached to a thornless stem.
Perfect rarity.
